The Missing Head Mystery - Boulder City, Nevada
This week, in Boulder City, Nevada, a man is caught by police with a pair of severed human hands in his trunk. It turns out, that this man is wanted for a murder, which explains the hands, but doesn't explain anything else about this strangely clean cut killer, who has a past full of promise & success. Detectives believe he dismembered a woman, in a hotel room, but they also had good reason to believe that he may be a serial killer, even throwing the Scott Peterson case temporarily out of whack!!
Along the way, we find out that no matter how man y times a hotel changes its name, it's still the place where an awful murder took place, that a bright & happy child doesn't always turn into a bright & happy adult, and that when police think they have a serial killer, departments from everywhere start trying to clear some cases!!

I'm convinced Scott saw the news about Evelyn Hernandez and was inspired by it. That happened around the time they would've found out Laci was pregnant. There's so many similarities between the two, including the immediate lawyering up that the guy who most likely killed Evelyn did. Of course, the big difference that makes it unlikely it's just a pregnant woman killer is that Evelyn's toddler was killed too but iirc never found.

BlackBerry Smoke is an awesome band. They are actually pretty popular too. The founder and drummer, Brit Turner, is my husband’s best friend. His wife is mine. Sadly, he passed away of glioblastoma in 2024. The band continues on as Brit would have wanted them to do so. Give them a listen, especially the album, The Whiperwill, and the newer albums. Yes California schools have waterpolo teams , most areas are absent of a snow season except the areas that are know for snow. Alameda is an islands like most California cities there are nice areas and bad areas. I wouldn’t call it upper crust. When you come to San Jose you should take a shot trip to the island. lol
