Dirty Uncle Death Dealer - Brunswick, Georgia
This week, in Brunswick, Georgia, the discovery of two bodies, stacked in a storage shed unravels the wild story of a strange family, and a town that goes into lockdown mode. The man accused of these awful killings has an explanation, but it's as crazy as the actual murders, and pretty hard to believe. In the end, we have no idea if this killer's sister put him up to it, or even if she tried to have another husband killed. What we do know is that doesn't seem to be a family that you'd want to marry into!!
Along the way, we find out that Elvis impersonators have a very odd niche in the entertainment industry, that you shouldn't let your bail jumping brother come live with you, and that no one has ever actually tried to play tug of war, using their teenage daughter as the rope!!

Tedious, boring, unfunny with a terrible ending. Don't waste your time with this one.
Double trouble? Like the guys from the Kings of tupelo documentary??? You guys need to watch that
Here's some context nobody asked for - the 'sidney lanier' mentioned in the Niche review is a confederate soldier, and the namesake of the infamous Lake lanier in North Georgia. In 1920s - 40s Reconstruction era Georgia, widespread efforts by white politicians led to the glorification of even the most mediocre of dudes if they happened to be on the losing team in the Civil War. lanier wrote a terrible (IMO) angsty teen poem or two and happened to be from South Georgia. Quoting him in a niche review is a real choice
Mi you. I9m.imm Union inn minimum..I I'mnot JJi ki mm I'll o No uj hmm j Junior ni jii in until
Ormond is just outside of Daytona. It’s about 20 mins N of Daytona, and about 1.5hrs S of Jax. (I always get excited when episodes include my home state and deaf people lol)
I’m thinking that Roddy’s dad is either Jolene’s dad or her uncle and no one knows for sure.
STM too local😭
I'm adopted, along with by older brother from an agency. Our older sister is also adopted, but her biological father is the brother of our adoptive mom. She (mom) couldn't conceive and wanted kids (my adoptive dad didn't care either way about kids), so when her younger brother (20yo) knocked up an apparently mentally unstable 18yo girl they had my sister (5 years older than me) and the mom dipped out when sis was 2yo. She got adopted by our mom, right before my brother was born (3 years older than me), so they suddenly had a lot more than expected. I came up on the adoption list a few years later and the shitshow began. It was very difficult explaining our familial situation since we'd all known about it so I'd have to explain that: 1) no, I don't "look like" anyone in my family 2) my sister is our uncle's daughter and also our mom's niece 3) no incest was involved; we grew up in the DC suburbs, not the south Being adopted and having weird family dynamics is weird.
Wow. Cheers to ya 🍻
as someone who has been the tug-of-war item (between my father & sister when he was NOT supposed to be taking me) this episode had my full attention (as opposed to falling asleep to the boys telling a story)
Yeah, same honestly. I have a feeling it happens a lot, unfortunately. ❤️ What bullshit it is.
This is a crazy, weird story.
A taser to wake up 😂
2 hearing impaired people playing tug of war with a child and shooting a gun. How many hands do these people have??? 😂😂😂
Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist is Gracelands Elvis contest
My daughter is deaf and it was really a game changer when she was a baby, slept amazingly and we didn't have to tiptoe around the house.
I'm blind, it sucks, I love music and podcasts. Idk if I'd rather be deaf, the sleep does sound amazing, I cmiss driving and I love reading so that b cool. I'm so hyper aware to sounds and I'd be so paranoid of ppl behind me without knowing. It's a shit choice, idk if I'd choose either. I've given ppl a 20, a hundred and thought it was a lower bill and walked away without my change. I go thru all my cash and fold denominations and fold them different. Btw, you use a wet wipe after wiping thoroughly or a bidet, we don't walk around w a dirty ass. I've heard James mention this a couple time's.
Whoa! This happened when I was a Jr. in HS on the Island and this is the first time I’ve heard of it.
Glynn and Glenn sound exactly the same to me 😂
Jolene had something to do with this
No matter what's going on in my life, you two make me feel better
My grandpa went blind late in life, and my grandma is deaf and uses hearing aides so she can hear during the day, then she takes them out at night and sleeps like a baby while my grandma wakes up at the slightest hint of anything. That’s the other thing, there’s more treatments to restore hearing than there are for restoring vision.
Did they make this shit up? I’m not okay!
Her first two husbands are the only guys who could genuinely say that their wife never listened to them
Oof...yeah. I don't like this one. There's no way Jolene wasn't involved in some way.
Yeah you don’t leave your 15 year old daughter to follow when you’ve taken the family car…
Ogie Oglethorpe!!
Can someone explain to me, how can a person hold onto a child's arm, have a gun in your hand and sign to another hearing impaired individual.
It's simple: Jolene doesn't know who Roddy's father is, it's either her father or her uncle.
Yep, that’s how it goes. Also, when I lived in Phoenix, I worked for Maricopa County in their clinics with the doctors and we had a patient that came in that was 11 years old that just had a baby and the father of the baby was her brother so that would make it her son and her nephew get that one they’re all kinds of scenarios with this kind of shit. I have a step cousin that had the same thing she had a child that was cousin and sister half sister I think was how it went to another child. That was a weird one I can’t remember what the story was on that one. The thing that really grosses me out is when a man gets her daughter pregnant and he is grandfather and father to that child that’s disgusting.
I don't think I'd mind being Deaf. I've learned a little Auslan (Australian Sign Language) and have had some exposure to the Deaf community and culture, and it's pretty rad.
Im hearing Impaired, funny I know I'm listening to a podcast lmao, I use hearing aids and honestly sometimes it's nice to be able to just take out my hearing aids and everything be a little quieter but it's also not as easy as it seems and sounds can be painful with hearing aids and for me at least I've had to learn to live without sounds I use to love.
Holy shit!! I live in the county between Brunswick and Jacksonville FL. I work out of Brunswick and have for over 20 years. I went to nursing school in Brunswick back in 2001. (They actually have a top rated nursing school, or they did) This was a WILD ASS STORY!! I am absolutely with Jimmie with hands on his head at the end! What the hell actually happened here?? Great job guys!
Woohoo
Woohoo indeed, Lori, woohoo indeed.
