Progress Update/Poll: 03/08/25

Hello everyone! πŸ‘‹

Been a little quiet lately, but that's mainly because I have been busy on multiple fronts and trying to balance it all. For the next week or so, I'll be on and off a bit because I have to take care of some appointments here (currently overseas), as well as get a few health check-ups.

Long story short, last year was a roller coaster of health scares that required me to lay off the gas a little bit. This isn't that right now, but there are a couple things I need to get re-checked to make sure everything is still ok.

Also, this week (as well as around April 20) are the (non-health related) appointments I came here for in the first place. At any rate, a lot of different things going on right now.

That being said, I decided to put up a quick poll. A bit back we had ourselves a vote for the next big project moving forward. Keep in mind, the more (especially big) projects you have out/going, the more time you have to spend maintaining those projects. This is something you guys can look up if you want, but the 20/80 rule (20% initial development, 80% maintenance) is true for the most part.

I bring that up because it looks like we are going to have a Moisture System (the voted winner) soon here. Ozz looks to be close to finishing up his, so I have decided to work with that one rather than spend a bunch of (unnecessary) time making essentially the same thing.

What that means is, things like State Controller (coming soon), RCS, and whatever else comes up along the way will be updated to work with his version if need be.

That's what this poll is for. Since Moisture System was the winner, I wanted to give everyone a chance to vote on an alternate direction. Depending on these results, we may have another "second choice" vote. The choices are State Controller (second place winner of previous vote), different new project, or stay the course and keep updating and/or adding to existing projects. This helps determine priority moving forward.

I will also quick mention Unit Convert will be seeing some updates here soon too. Like I said, just busy on a lot of different fronts. I am also updating my core scripts, which should make everything updated to use them faster and more compatible with more things.

Finally, I will still be around this week. I'll have my phone and I intend on taking my laptop with me this time, so things should be a little quiet on my end but not completely paused.

That's all for now. I'll keep you posted!
