Profit margins for selling a staff were higher for Richter than whatever he charged for the staff repair vs the labor involved
The fluctuation is an indication that Serie is reigning in her mana in the same way that Frieren and Fern are. But she has so much mana that her reigned in mana looks like Frieren's unleashed mana.
Ooooohhhhh. That makes more sense. Thank you.
I love the spell the defeated the demon on king was spell that created flowers. 🌺
Also in another instance of Serie frequently saying things that contradict her own actions, she called learning how to suppress your mana like that waste of time, and is almost immediately shown to have been doing it herself the whole time.
Yeah, that was just Serie saying that human mages are finally starting to catch up to what elves and the demon king managed to do in their super long lives. It's just that a lot of human mages are only managing to do it at the very end of their own lives. And then she meets Fern who's already accomplished it as a teenager.
Everyone says Fern is scary when she's angry except all she does is make an adorable face and hits you with fists that make squeaky toy sounds.
