play! mini compatibility/progress report (02/11/2024)
This month we mostly had project infrastructure changes (boring stuff related to dependencies for each platform, needed to compile the emulator itself), some minor compatibility bumps + a nice outcome from the Game of the Month results. Sadly I didn't had much time to test every single status of the games with the latest changes since I had to put a ton of hours into trying to start my own business (unrelated to emulation, but an #offtopic article can be made if anyone is curious enough to ask about it). So, let's check the results so far for the month:
Winning Eleven 7 - World Soccer – International
Recently verified as fully playable, with only some minor visual issues.
Viewtiful Joe
Just finished it, thanks to the improvements from the Game of the Month results (the game used to hang after the first intro videos, even before reaching the main menu). Sadly I couldn't find any other game that was affected by this change.
Blood Omen 2 - The Legacy of Kain Series
Updated to In-game, needs more testing to confirm if it's fully playable.
The Mummy - Tomb of The Dragon Emperor

Other than that we also had a regression with Sly Cooper 2 and 3 fixed. Right now we're checking on some of the games that only reach the intros, to try and take down the % since it's the second largest amount of games sharing the same status, which will for sure lead to more in-game and playables updates. For the next month I'll update at least 2 other arcade games to the site.
