"Sea Of Lies" (Symphony X) Solo Lesson/Analysis

Michael Romeo of Symphony X is up there as one of the most underrated guitarists of all time so I thought it's about time we celebrate his amazing playing by taking a look at his most iconic solo!

Most people just know this solo because of the famous tapping section (which is deceptively difficult) but this masterful piece of guitar showmanship is just one tasty lick after another. Hilariously this is actually one of the more playable Symphony X solos (lol) but will still put even experienced guitarists through their paces, with copious amounts of precision alternate picking and very fast legato needed to nail it. Those pesky tapping licks also require a very high amount of hand strength and dexterity but are insanely fun to play once you get them down.

Good luck and don't forget to share your progress with everyone in the Discord server!
