I put a tenner in my pocket and simply walked North..
(PART 1 OF 2)
Patreons, it's been a while since you got some juicy early access, but here it is.
This is something fairly relaxing compared to the straight line or no roads missions, but I'm hoping you'll enjoy it all the same. Do let me know your thoughts in the comments!

Adventure comes in many forms. Today we indulge in one of the simplest and purest forms of adventure there is. Join me as I grab a sleeping bag, stuff a tenner in my pocket and walk north from my front door into the countryside for as long as fate sees necessary. Along the way we forage for food, gasp for water, sleep in questionable places, bump into countless generous countryside folk and explore the glorious hobbit-like English countryside with a sense of childlike wonder and freedom.

Being local to you dude I love the regional stuff even more. Currently working on a project to rewild a huge part of the banks and surrounding land of the river Blythe. Gonna grab myself a part 2 straight away. Awesome. Si.
Love the relaxed vibe, cant wait for part 2
When's part 2 please? X
I loved this & can't wait for part two! The more relaxed vibe is great - I'd watch you walk anywhere
Hi Tom ! Amazing piece as always. Reminds me of my previous hiking trips across the channel ! Adventure idea : since you seems to abhor the very concept of using a paper maps and a compas (always wondering about that ahaha), why not a bit of challenge by walking without any gps but using an old map from the XVIII / XIX ? Mixing probably adventure/geography and history ! Cheers and thank you for all the fun
This inspired me to go on my own adventure last night, which at one point I had a spike of a local allotment fence through my boot and foot. Wondered if you could share what footwear you favour for your more adventurous missions. I need protection but an element of nimbleness.
Or maybe I just need to realise I'm now 90kg and to be more careful 😅
Loved this so much I had to re-subscribe to you again on patreon! X
This was such a pleasure to watch! Reminds me of when I was a kid wanting to wander off to areas unknown. Love the thrill of adventure. Thanks for sharing!
Honestly this was INCREDIBLE. Please post the next episode ASAP!
wonderful adventure. Can't wait for summer to come again. And also I have to come to the English countryside sometime
Really enjoyed the episode. Your videos are so calming and nostalgic, somehow, even though I’ve never been in the English Countryside! Good voiceover writing, and good music, too!
Tom: Thank you very very much. Wonderful adventure.
Loved this video!
Really enjoyed this Tom! Was a twist on a classic adventure video which i found really calm but enjoyable too. Simplistic idea but worked really well. Looking forward to the next episode, cheers 🍺
Loving the simplicity of this mission. On the road to find out!
Enjoyed that mate, looking forward to part 2
Believe it or not I've done something similar to this myself in Scotland, Though only made it 15 miles before calling it due to weather. Would be fun to try again at some point though! Was a great first part, already looking forward to the second :)
Love this - great idea - really looking forward to the next instalment
This was good fun, cheers muck.
Makes me nostalgic for home mate, love these
Loving the new adventure! While watching I quickly realized that it's been waay too long since I went for a real hike myself, even though we have some great countryside hiking trails around Vienna - some starting right outside or even within city borders. So, thanks for motivating me to get back into it once spring comes around!
Winter hikes are the best lad
Is part 2 out already for the 4 dollar tier?
No Aharon, early releases are always for all patreons. I'm aiming for next Tuesday (19th)
As an Oregonian, Tom's pronunciation of Oregon gave me quite a chuckle!
I love this adventure! A simple concept, but very much fun to watch. And, dare I say, inspiring to try this out myself one day.
What I really love about your adventures Tom is that you show everyone out there that you don't need expensive kit or the highest fashion outdoor gear to have a real adventure and I think that's super important as I feel that's what the outdoor community has lost and become. I live in the Lake District and everyone here seems to need very expensive kit to simply walk a few miles. Never change that! you sure show that the great outdoors is accessible to everyone no matter who you are.
Recently went to Bulgaria and did my first adventure letting dice make all my decisions, was very liberating. - love these adventures tom, no need to have bangs and fireworks, everyone needs a bit of calm mixed with spontaneity and you deliver on that and more.
Love these kinds of videos. I feel you on those overgrown paths. Had my own adventure in the summer and near the end got to a "path" that was chest height and full of thistles, stinging nettles and brambles. And it was either carry on that way, with only a few miles til home and pray it didn't last long or turn around and go back 10 plus miles. 500 metres later and my body didn't thank me for persevering through it all instead of going back!
Yet another banger, nice one Tom
That foul throw was shocking
Top video as always, Tom. I always hope one day you’ll venture out my way so I can offer you shelter on a mission (Galloway). Your Taz had is legendary by the way. I meant to ask, when is your new album/music coming out?
Hey Tom, so the sheep farmer you walked past is none other than youtuber will cowley, talk about coincidence, I'm sure it's him in this video here https://youtu.be/-fKV-yOA5Qg?si=LwC-cUoTHj0mngyu&t=222
That’s mental!!
Splendid
Oh yeah, it's adventure time again!
Ooh, looking forward to getting home and tucking into this. Been binging the adventure content recently.
Can’t wait to see this!
