Manchester no roads mission [PART 3 EARLY RELEASE]

Morning all! Sorry I couldn't release this last night like planned. Took a lot of work this one did and I wanted it to be right. I'm pretty confident it's worth the wait.

Just want to thank you all for your support on patreon. It helps me keep doing what i'm doing more than you could know!

This is it. The third and final installment of what has to be one of the greatest urban adventures ever. We've already overcome our fair share of obstacles and even showstoppers up till now, but none of that will compare to what's in store for us in the final stages of the mission. Two canal crossings and an incredible 200 year old rooftop ensure that this episode is just as hilarious and fascinating as the previous two, but an intimidating chain of office buildings and construction sites complete with rottweiler wielding security might just prove a step too far...

**good subtitles available**

Please don't grow out of it!! Brilliant mission as always, and an absolute joy to watch! Bravo!

What was the total distance of road walked compared to the total travel distance?

D
Dakota · June 8, 2026

I mean you guys got collared by those security fellas and still ended up finishing, and the way you went down the road was the only way to get over that tram way, so I would consider it a win. Helluva mission, guys. Entertaining as always, Tom. Always love your stuff.

Hi Tom, Me and my mate have just finished watching and you have inspired us so much we had to drop you a message. We’re massive fans of the channel and have been watching for years — your videos are a huge part of why we both got so into GeoGuessr and exploring in general. I’m from Caerphilly just outside Cardiff, and after watching the Manchester mission we genuinely think Cardiff would make a brilliant city for a no roads challenge. The mix of rivers, parks, footpaths, estates, industrial bits, woods and random hidden cut-throughs would make it perfect in our opinion. We have also heard Cardiff has quite a large maze of underground canals which could be super interesting, although that would definitely take some research. Me and my friend play loads of GeoGuessr because of your videos, and we actually spend a ridiculous amount of time on Cardiff-only maps, (or Cardiffguessr as we call it) so obviously being local helps, but because of GeoGuessr we also know the city really well from studying it on maps too. We’d genuinely love to help out in any way if you ever did decide to give Cardiff a go. We’re also both going to Bristol Uni next year, so we’ll be nearby and basically available whenever, if you ever wanted local help planning routes, scouting areas, or even joining for part of it, if that was something you’d ever consider. And if you ever wanted a preliminary route or any scouting done before even deciding whether to do the challenge, we’d definitely be up to help out with that too. But honestly, even if you didn’t want any help from us specifically, we still think Cardiff no roads would be such a good video and we’d absolutely love to see you take it on. It feels made for it. Either way, thanks so much for all the videos over the years, they’ve genuinely inspired both of us to get outside more, travel more, and look at places differently. In fact we've already done a "tenner in out pocket" challenge before. Your videos have definitely changed the way we look at maps and places in general. All the best, Joe and Tarn

Loved it and happy I actually caught it early for once!

Tom, have you heard of the smugglers way down in Cornwall? It's only 38 miles, so you'd probably smash it in two days. It's not quite straight line but it's effectively coast 2 coast from Looe to Boscastle. Id highly recommend 👊🏻

J
Joe Gallant · June 7, 2026

Head’s up Tom you have some extra black screen at the end with a bit of audio that snuck in.

D
Dustin Geddes · June 7, 2026

I think that was purposeful like a bonus track

loved it!!

Stuart Duncan · June 7, 2026

That was a corker. I wonder what city you might tackle next, unless the honest self-reflection of being a father of two leads you to reflect on the sanity of these types of adventures :)

A

So many familiar sights! This was such a surreal one. Is if one of favourite Youtubers were dancing through a park where I got pissed as a teenager and ended up at Bunny Jackson's for some wings. Exquisite taste lads! Hope to see you in manchester soon!

Really like these kind of adventures, you should wear something protective like a large pair of work pants over the waders to avoid damage.

Straight line mission biggest fear: A welsh farmer on a quad bike No Roads mission biggest fear: Rottweiler wielding security

Random question your watch has a map on it but does it tell the time

S
Stephen Dent · June 6, 2026

Great series as always. The place that you said looked like a gangster film could be made there is where the Garrison pub was filmed in Peaky Blinders.

Excellent video Tom. Appreciated! If you ever get the chance to explore under the great northern warehouse I'd recommend it. Huge arches, an old air raid shelter and a flooded undergroud passage towards the old corrie set.

Let’s go. Tom here’s an idea for your next video, straight line mission but the line is a country border. The San Marino border would be a hard but doable one
