The most relaxing travel series you're ever going to watch (on this channel at least) is back by popular demand, except this time things up a notch as I try my luck in a foreign land.
With nothing but £10 (€12) in my pocket and a sleeping bag in my rucksack, join me as I leave Salzburg and simply stroll east into the breathtakingly beautiful Austrian countryside with no specific aims other than to meet lovely people, find some food and water, and see if I can sleep somewhere comfier than a park bench.

Servus from Austria and thank you for painting such a lovely picture of my home country. Makes me wonder why I always travel to England and not to Salzburg :-) ... Btw, you can eat rose hips uncooked, just be aware of the ghastly little hairs inside, they can be used as itching powder.

If you want, I can write down the recipe for the juice you drank at old lady house. I'm from Slovenia, and my wife makes this juice every year. It's really simple; besides water, you only need 3 or 4 ingredients.

Another cracking start to a fantastic series. I’m excited to see how things go down in Austria and you shouldn’t be too harsh on your German, it’s the effort that counts. What I like most about this series, and your channel in general, is the lack of “fakeness”. It is so refreshing to see genuine human interactions without some algorithm or need to create fake narratives in your adventures. For me, there’s too much need to “perform” in many folks on social media, and while I understand that the system is largely at fault for perpetuating click-bait and edge culture, your channel is a shining beacon through the doldrums of AI-generated, stunts-for-clicks culture we seem to be living in. The Austrian countryside looks beautiful. This is giving me a lot of inspiration to visit.
Tom, I've always loved your vids such a nice pace to them (even when the going gets tough!) Just wanted to share that I'm in the middle of a massive week. I'm a pub manager of 20 years and love my job. But this is always a tough time of year, battling through Christmas parties and company tabs.. all to keep the pub alive for another year. I've also had a tough year with my own health and am limited to how much I can work/live the pub lifestyle. Despite this, due to other staff illnesses I'm in the middle of a 75 hour week. Thankfully the hospitality gods have shone on us tonight with some lovely bookings, I was able to finish early and have some much needed rest time infront of the telly. This video is exactly what the doctor ordered. Thank you for continuing to be inspiring! Showing us all to look at the positives and battling on happy
