Can I buy a beer in "Beeropolis" using only money found on the floor on the way there?
Is there anything more pure and fun than hunting for treasure?
Today, inspired by Beau Miles's latest video, I go on a coin hunt. Last time it was just roundabouts, but this time I take things up a notch. Starting in Lichfield and loosely following the path of an ancient roman road called Ryknild street, my aim is to find as many coins on the floor as possible en route to Burton upon Trent, the brewing capital of the UK.
Whatever coinage I find on my 20 mile journey will be what I use to buy me a beer, be it a can of cheap lager from a corner shop, or a frothy pint in a pub.
The main flaw in the plan is that barely anyone uses coins any more, and you barely ever see them on the ground. Where there's a will there's a way though, and I'll be checking every roundabout, bus stop, railway platform and drivethru en route to Burton in the hopes that I can make this pipedream a reality.
Apologies again this one was late! The London editing combined with a couple of baby born illnesses really set me back. Back on track now though and super focused on giving you all consistent monthly $4 adventures!

You should invest in a high powered magnet on a stick or string, would pull coins up from the silt. Great video

Wow, just subscribed to your Patreon because I love how positive and charming your videos are only to discover you support Reform, who are doing and who continue to do immeasurable damage to this country. You always seemed a nicer guy than that, but I guess that’s on me for assuming things based on a YouTube video. A small handheld wand metal detector like I see various detectorists using may have got the full pint and a packet of pork scratchings.
Very true! only thing is there was loads of bits of metal lying around so it'd be going off constantly on that paydirt. Maybe a massive magnet!

Silly question, probably. When British people use the word "floor" when they're talking about the ground, are they using the word "floor" even though they know it's not technically a floor but it's just sort of common to use it that way, or does "floor" literally mean the same thing as the ground in Britain?
What would you mean by floor - like flooring material in a building? If so yes I would use floor as in ground and I think a lot of Brits would!

haha you're not going mad. Recently on my patreon vids I've been leaving the aspect ratio as it is filmed on the new GoPro, but if its annoying I can crop it down to my normal 4:3!
