Can I cross a mountain range without leaving 420m above sea level?
Morning Patreons! Here's the early release for my latest adventure. Hope you like it.
You know those curvy orange lines on the map that indicate altitude and steepness? Well what if I tried to follow one? My map tells me I'm going to be passing over farmland, ravines as I straddle the feet of big Welsh mountains, but will the terrain and foliage allow me to stay at the same altitude (420m above sea level) the entire time without any injuries?
Good Subtitles available
PLEASE NOTE! - the music is going on all streaming platforms at 7pm BST so you won't be able to hear that just yet. For those who missed the YouTube vid, here it is on Bandcamp!

Hi Tom, unrelated question this but what are your thoughts on the numbers of the first week of Pleasant Pudding? As expected or not? Any future plans music wise? Would be great to have another video about it! Love the album btw!
Not sure if you’ll see this, but the album is an actual game changer!! A huge congratulations! 👍💙
Interesting idea and a good video!
Tom!! I need to know what software/plugin/whatever you are using at 0:16 to get a topographical 3D map. In a month I'm going deep into the Scandinavian mountain range for 10 days and this tool will help me soooo much to plot my route!!
Great video Tom! Just come back from the Brecon Beacons , what a place !
Also, super excited about the future possibilities for new missions. Straight line mission, same altitude mission are both missions where one variable stays constant. In this regard... constant-speed mission? Perfect circle trajectory mission (where the radius is constant)? So many possibilities...
I have suddenly developed an urge to understand how altimeters work... is it by pressure or by GPS? How accurate is it?
Michael & Outnumbered are my two favourite songs on the album, f-ing fantastic tunes
So funny to watch the horizon in your video and not moving straight towards it!! Thanks for another adventure 🍻
420 meters high 😂😂
Great stuff as usual Tom, I ejoyed the concept and I think it can make for pretty exciting content in the future given the right circumstances so looking forward to that. Also can't wait for the new adventures, they look like absolute crackers!
Great idea young Thomas, though a shame you did it in lambing season. Really looking forward to bonny Scotland and London. By the way, remembering your love for the place, any exciting plans for Stoke's centenary? ;-)
Been waiting my whole life for this video. (Every new release)
Thanks tom
Perhaps the pub was under maintenance for its 2/5 hygiene rating...
I don’t think I’ve ever been so devastated for you at the end of one of your videos. Great content as always mate!
FLAT LINE MISSION is the new straight line mission.
Finishing work and finding a new, creative adventure from the Wizard. A perfect day. And tomorrow I'll be off again to experience my own adventures in the wilderness.
Loved it. Watching the gnarliest of straight line or no road missions is top tier of course, but watching this has me planning something similar that feels personally achievable, especially with the stunning views and the weather you had. Of course having seen this, I'll double check the pub at the end first 😉
Another great adventure Tom! Looking forward to the next ones!
This was a straight line mission in just the way none of the other ones were.
We reached a new plane 😂
When you get nabbed by a farmer while doing a straightline mission you can kinda explain yourself "I am trying to walk in a straight line across X". But with this you won't only get told off you will be send to a mental hospital. Also: I was gonna say "this might be the first mission nothing went wrong" but then the pub was closed. Traditions have to be respected :)
Afternoon, Sir! Lovely weather we’re having. I hope you and the family are well. I’m buzzing for your album release. Does it have Pedal on it?
Thanks Hannah! it does not I'm afraid! hoping you'll love the tracks though. Lemme know what you think.
Hmm, 420 you say? 🌲🌲🌲
Naughty.
