I attempted to cross England in a completely straight line. (PART 1)
Good evening my lovely patreons. Sit back and enjoy.
The straight line mission and all it's glorious pointlessness peaks right here with what is undoubtedly the most ridiculously ambitious jaunt I've ever attempted. 68 miles across the most rugged and remote areas of my home country in the darkest depths of winter, battling oceans of hellish forests, unrivalled amounts of farmland and countless more seriously dodgy obstacles. All of this with my rivals (who embark 4 days later) breathing down my neck.
Join me and my new and improved support crew as I aim to become the first person to cross England in a completely straight line, hopefully achieving what I never thought was possible.
Some speech might be difficult to hear - use good speakers/headphones if possible and use the man made subtitles

When can we expect Part 2! Congrats on the baby!
Big congratulations to you and Verity Tom! Also any chance you will reissue the vinyl soundtrack?
So happy for you and Verity! Amazing news!
Congratulations to you and Verity! Although I do think this video series might now have peaked in the first five minutes... 😉
Incredible — the minute the first track starts I’m back in!!
Ohhh, a few minutes in now. Congratulations as well, Verity and Tom 💚💚
Simply the intro music gives me nostalgic feeling already. Love it, Tom 💚
Congratulations to you both !!!
Congratulations both!
Congratulations to you both
congratulations and best wishes, Tom!
9:34 Is "Fiddly" a common British word or is Tom also a watcher of Taskmaster?
Pretty common word here I'd say
Big congrats on the news mate. My second is coming along in about 7 weeks. One of the most challenging, joyful, and terrifying experiences of my life.
Oh no, we were half way through and it's gone private!
Same 😂
The video’s gone private just as I’d got to the good bit! Panic!
Thank you for the effort you put into the subtitles. I know those aren’t fun to put together, especially with the added formatting and detail on who is talking off camera.
Everytime I watch one of these videos I ring up my friend and tell him that the next day we're heading north in a straight line and not stop till we encounter a grumpy farmer. Love these videos Tom
Congratulations to you and Verity!!! Looking forward to the rest of this series too!
Congrats. Will you be carrying on your adventures and will you be continuing your patreon and YouTube? (Need to adjust my patreon membership of you won't be doing anymore that's all) As many stop doing stuff/adventures and having fun when they have kids 😂
Of course Laura! hardly anything is going to change! entertaining you guys is my livelihood and I will continue to take it very seriously!
Can’t wait for this!! Huge congrats to you both <3
Congratulations Tom & Verity! Going by the bump size and Christmas tree you must be with your baby now. Best wishes to all of you ☀️ In regards to the mission, I love to hear the sound of that mission music start up, gives me chills. Man that was a great first episode. I hope it works out - I’ll be tuning in!
Tom and Verity, congratulations on your baby! As for me, my wife is due with our first daughter on June 15! You will love parenthood and I can tell you will make fantastic parents. Waiting with bated breath for the next episode of this epic mission!
One of your best videos ever mate. The script, editing, everything.
Snake, snake? Snaaaaaaaake! Congrats to you both
love it!!! f the hardest geezer. we got the hardest wizard
Congratulations to Verity and you! I had a sneaking suspicion that might me happening soon 😁. And yay for another mission, love it! 🧤📏🗺️
Finally!!! and congratulations :D
Congratz on becoming Geodad and Geomom! Absolutely buzzing!
Congratulations bro! 👏🏻
God bless and hope you survive ❤️
A live heart rate monitor feed would've been interesting for the times when farm activity threatens your attempt!
Congratulations on the baby!! I'm surprised you don't also mention Norway in your list of successes
A night vision device like a pvs 14 would be handy for the beginning bit! Though maybe wildly expensive. Otherwise a headlamp with red light would be useful as its a lot less noticeable and quite useable once your eyes get adjusted to it. Food for thought, great video!
screamed out loud when you announced the pregnancy! congrats to the both of you, looking hearing a baby in the background of the geowizard content :,)
Why? Means he'll become boring and no more fun adventures! 😭
Congratulations on the baby TOMMMMMMM! So happy for YOUUU
Congrats Tom! Next mission with a baby bjorn and nappies on the go!
Great start Turnip Tom, and very much congratulations to you and Verity over the bump. Dare I say I live in hope but not expectation?

Find it hilarious that you rented my friend’s campervan and he had no clue who you were, and I’ve just got ridiculously excited that I’ve driven the same van 😂 Missed opportunity for a plug there, told him he should have gave you it for free 👀 Congrats on the baby by the way! Edit: Turns out he does know who you are but failed to mention it all to me 🤣🤣
