While I don't always comment, I most certainly watch everyone one of your videos and I am truly amazed at your creativity and productivity! This was a beautiful gown.

Great fun. I made a hooded cape for grand daughter No 1 a few years ago, from a similar black/gold fabric. She did look spooky!!

It was suggested to me (by my family) that I make a "Janet from The Good Place" cosplay after we all binge-watched the entire series, and although I found some useful-ish patterns on a few sites including Mood.com, apparently they USED to sell the fabric for her blouse but it's been out of stock for some time. I did, however, find someone on Etsy who was selling scarves with the same print... so I bought two scarves and made my blouse from them! Very successful cosplay, if I do say so myself (though when I wore it to work NOBODY recognised it. I obviously work with the wrong kind of people!)

Those are some spectacular gowns. The 12th century is my favourite fashion century, and the dramatic sleeves in shiny fabric are a big part of the appeal. I love the early 20th century too, with all of the experimentation and distinctive aesthetics. It’s really interesting to see both of those fashion eras coming together.
