Dispatch no. 40 - Updates Podcast
All I do now is make more and more flowers, but at least I get to actually sew them onto the gown soon!!
Thank you so much for your support ❤️

Re: househunting. Dont feel bad, you are not alone. I bought my first house at 38, and that isnt unusual anymore. ‘Unluckiest generation’ falters in boomer-dominated market for homes https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2023/08/12/millennial-home-buyers/
I would watch the crap out of a TCH Cyberpunk stream. Just sayin' 🙂
I hope to figure out a livestreaming setup or two in my next house so maybe one day!!
Granny vibes but likes tattoos is kind of my aesthetic as well although while not an actual granny I am pretty much grandma-ages (although I guess a person could be fairly young and still be a grandma). I particularly like your rambling, I tend to veer off in many directions when I speak. I listen to you while working on sewing projects and it's kind of like having a friend over to chat while I work. Enjoyable, especially since I don't really like to actually socialize in person ever with anyone :) Also, with regards to the house hunting, I am a very organized person who likes schedules, and when I have something planned that for some reason can't happen, or needs to be postponed, it really throws me off and makes me feel anxious and disorganized. It's hard for me to adjust to change in a planned routine.
Yes it's the messed up scheduling/plan that gets me so discombobulated!! Even when I was a kid (high schooler 😅) I would get upset if plans I made with friends had to change, I am not a spontaneous human 😂
Sooooo excited for MW 30s!! ☺️ Thank you again for sharing with us xxx
The coats are the best part, very excellent collars and sleeves!
Oh and winter is when you want to go house hunting. That way you know if it floods each year. 😬
Exactly! I think it would reveal any big issues 😂
I find your voice and speech cadence soothing and comfortable. Like a good friend. Or an old worn sweatshirt. Hope that isn’t creepy. It isn’t meant to be. 😬. Googly eyes on the flowers 😂😂😂.
Thank you Karla! Must put some googly eyes on at least on orchid...
I find your voice really pleasant; I've even often thought I'd love to have you read audiobooks! :D Also, sometimes when I'm tired and just want to nap on the sofa, I find one of your videos I've watched before and put it on to fall asleep to. Maybe it sounds a bit creepy; I don't know. I just find your voice very nice to my ears!
Thank you Helga! I fall asleep to podcasts myself, so I am happy if I can help in any such way ❤️
I’ve always found your voice very pleasant to listen to. Maby you should list these fancy house gowns as tea gown and se if people stick around. I made one inspired gown out of a flannel duvet cover and I’m sure the postman finds me strange. Who cares ☺️
The postman deserves something surprising during the rounds 😂✨
You can't please everyone so don't try. You speak very well. Your voice is pleasant. It's really no one's business where you live or who you live with. The info you offer re: your private life is a gift to those of us who appreciate you. Don't worry about anyone else.
Thank you Heidi 💜 Yes I am always learning how to better block out the randos 😅
Scratch that. I AM a granny who likes, and has many, tattoos!
Can't stop at just one after all 🤩❤️
I AMa
I love your cadence and rambles. <3
Thank you Tammy ❤️
Re tattoos on the wrist: yes, ouch! I have one on each wrist, about 2" from the joint. Deeeeep breathing got me through the 1-2 minutes of work each time. Lace gloves to cover them for "historically adequate"? Re your voice, cadence, etc: you sound very similar to one of my friends 😊 Your walk away dress was one of my favorite of the challenge videos. Hooded housecoat 👏👏👏 I could comment on everything else, but I won't 😅 Happy belated birthday 🎂 🥳 🎉
Thank you Kenzie! I'm looking forward to that hooded housecloak, I will have a whole wardrobe of dramatic housecoats in no time 😂
Your flowers are just magical. You make it look so easy. I guess that is part of making so many. It is wonderful to have your own home. It is difficult to share a kitchen. Best of luck finding a gem. You will have no problem making just about any house into a real Gem. It is a process, not a goal.
Thank you Julie! I'm so excited for renovating adventures ✨
The flowers are gorgeous! In re: unusual flower choices...how about a corpse flower (minus the stank)? That house of your dreams will show up soon. Just a hiccup, and then you'll look up in a few months and find that place you want to call home. I'll never forget that sweet, precious moment of taking a Saws-All to our first house's crappy kitchen cabinets that generated sawdust each time you'd open them. Good times in progress, and good times acomin'! :-)
Thank you!! I'm so excited to learn to do tile 😂✨
The flower making video is great, can’t wait to see more and the making of the gown! I love these updates, get to know your thought process and snippets etc. It’s such a shame that people think that it’s acceptable to judge those in social media jobs like yourself, glad that you don’t give them a second thought, They don’t deserve it. Keep doing you! Love what you do
Thank you Rachael! ❤️ Comes with the territory online 😅
our flowers look DIVINE! I'm in love with the mums. I sort of regret buying the flowers for my Edwardian hat, but I wanted to be able to wear it this summer :p On a different note: I've ordered a couple of times from Puresilks (linens, ironically. Even with the shipping cost they tend to be slightly cheaper and massively more varied than what I find in the UK). The photos are bad indeed, and the fabric specs on the page not always correct, but they have pretty good customer service via Whatsapp and their custom-dyed service seems good too (I've only dyed white to black so far).
Thank you Dee! Yeah the photos are lacking, but I'm glad to have a resource for tricky colors when the need arises!
