Hi, So what came first? Did you get the beautiful shoes first and then tie-dye the dress to match, or did you find the shoes after the dress was made😉😊? Either way you make a stunning appearance, as usual. Too bad about the pictures from San Diego, but I'm glad that you had a lovely time. We've had sunshine for a month or more now, so I'm doing okay. We've even had nice temperatures of about 70 F for a couple of weeks, and the last two days we've had almost 80 ℉, so almost tropical. Yours, Ann

Thank you Ann! Indeed the teal suede shoes came first! A sale find many years ago 💚

Finishing 2nd year of tailoring school (one more year to go) and fell in love with their industrial serger. So after years of saying no, I don't need a serger, I did save the money and bought me a second hand home serger and wow. Just finished huge rectangle tubes for a project out of really pretty and really fiddly and easy frayable lining fabric in a few hours instead of fudging with french seams. Yay for sergers!

One of the many things that I love about this dress is the unusual back neck treatment, so thank you for explaining how you did that.

I've been hooked on this neckline recently!

It's interesting how you've said, in the past, that you like to have matching accessories because it invites the eye to travel in one continuous line. I liked that line. Yet, with this tie dye, the pleasure seems to be in allowing the eyes to wander all over, taking in the pretty shapes and colours. It's very unique and a nice surprise to watch on my birthday. Thank you!

I love the earthiness of the colours. Beautiful. Could you make the dress first and then dye it like you did with the t-shirts.

Thank you! Yes one could make the dress first! The nice thing about dyeing the fabric first is then you can cut the pieces to utilize the "best parts" whereas if you were to dye the dress and one bit turned out muddy or less pretty you would be kinda stuck with it 😅

What a beautiful project! The fabric turned out to be a work of art and will be a pleasure to wear Bianca. I have sewn clothes in the past, when I was in the work force but since retirement I no longer do. I miss the creative process so watching you create helps fill that void. My sewing now involves quilts, etc. I so enjoy tagging along on your creative journey 😃

Thank you Jacqueline! I have a quilt I need to make and find it intimidating 😅❤

the tied up fabric shape looks like a little guy with very tall horns and now I cant unsee it. The fabric turned out magical! I would love to try this type of dyeing too but I don't have access to dharma dyes without it being €€€ and dyes I can find around here don't have the colorsplitting surprise effects.

Thank you! There miiiight be Dharma resellers on places like facebook, I know there are in the UK so it could be worth giving it a quick search 😂 Lot's of tie dye enthusiasts buy the dye in bulk and resell it in other locals ✨
