Hello there!! I got back from California last night and I'm working to get my act together! This month's sewing video and podcast are coming up asap, but I thought you might want to see this week's channel video before it goes live on Thursday ✨
Thank you for your patience and support, I am feeling really motivated tonight and really feel the shift from more recent PMDD induced malaise/exhaustion back into myself again. I'll finish up editing the Patreon pattern drafting and sewing video tomorrow, the podcast early this week, and then I will be filming the rest of the Verdigris lookbook later in the week which promises to be tiring but fun. So beautiful!!! I love the colors you chose! I would love to see a bat brooch for Halloween maybe? Also would definitely love an updated room tour. I'm jealous of your ability yo make french knots, I've been embroidering for 3 years and I still can't do them lol. ❤️

A tour would be great! I just came back from a trip to the Garment District with some sewing friends, one of whom took us to a curiosity shop called The Evolution Store, which seems right up your alley. Minerals, fossils, and preserved insects (including iridescent beetles in resin blocks that I just realized would make the most epic pattern weights). Not sure how you feel about taxidermy, but in case your future house needs, say, a trio of peacocks gracing the living room, this is who would have them.
Mmm that sounds like my kinda store for sure! I love taxidermy, mostly becuase I want to live in a museum 😂❤️
It looks great next to that antler! The body reminds me of a Georges Braque painting, or really fancy Chiclets. If you make a starfish, then you could recreate Claudette Colbert's look when she wore the famous Boivin starfish brooch. Lovely work, bug girl!

If you're not in a hurry to get sequins and beads, AliExpress has an excellent selection, but shipping can take up to a month. I usually get stuff in 2 weeks though! I just ordered a bunch from there. They are so pretty! I have 2 beetle brooches now. They are just so cute! I want to make more!!
