Early Access // This Week's Video!
I wanted to title this video "Ice Dye Tie Try" but decided to be good and give it a more normal title. Here are my first experiments with ice dying! I wanted to try all the methods and colors to see what I like best before I started working with yardage. Behind the scenes the first few pieces of cotton sateen have come out SO FUN, and you will see much more ice dye from me in the coming weeks/few months as I space things out interspersed on the channel ✨

These all turned out so amazing! Now I want to dye all the things!!
Thank you Jen! It gets very tempting indeed!
Your tie dyeing took me back to the 90s! For a bit of extra fun, I thought you might like this video from Botanical Colors (natural dye supplier in USA) which talks about ice dyeing using natural dyes. Lots of inspiration to be had. https://botanicalcolors.com/video-from-live-feedback-friday-ice-dyeing-with-cara-marie-piazza/
Yes!!! Make this the year of chic tie-dye!!
This is so cool Bianca! I love that it's both space and earth inspired. The juxtaposition is just *chef kiss*
Thank you Chae!
Mesmerizing! Thank you for doing this; I learned so much. Now to restrain myself from adding another hobby to my already full schedule of projects...
I definitely recommend dyeing the fabric before making a garment. I made some linen ice dyed pajama pants and didn't think about the fact that one side would be lighter. Sometimes it's really dramatic.
Really fun.
So true, this is magic! Wow! Hint: keep a notebook with your fav die combos, how it was tied, a pic, etc., cuz you may not remember them when it’s time to repeat the result. I’d love to see more💕 Thank you for sharing this with us! Sending best wishes and good vibes from Down Under 💚💚💚🐈⬛🐈⬛🎉🥳🇦🇺😎
Thank you Rhonda! Luckily I've got video of everything so far, so it's a video journal of each experiment 😅✨
Wow! Your so brave to dive into this! Loved all of them! I’ve got lots of snow in Massachusetts so hmmmm!
The snow at hand situation is indeed super useful 😂
It’s magic absolute love this process. 😍
Thank you Helen!
These are beautiful; thank you for sharing your process!
Thank you Carolyn!
That’s beautiful work! I’m happy to see your experiments with textile techniques I will probably never have time to try. I think my favourite was the space dust cloud crop top.
Thank you Tina!
Those colors, to die for 😂 honestly you must have quite some fun. I would go berserk, too with all those possibilities. How about selling the non fitting ones? 😉
Thank you Diana! I will be selling the ones that don't fit me yes, when I have a big clearout this year!
Looks like you had a lot of fun! That last shirt is objectively the best one. Re: the Rorshach test at 22:47, as a Gen X-er, to me the obvious answer is "mushroom cloud".
I liked the Grinch head at the bottom of the last shirt, lol. At least that’s what my old eyes saw :) I’m always seeing faces, though…
Omg that last shirt!!!!!! My husband was professionally dying using Shibori folds and huge injection dyes when I first met him. We got to know each other when I gave him my favorite shirt to tie dye. He was a walking rainbow. I can’t wait to see how you will use this fabric when sewing cutting and sewing a garment. I’ve only ever tie dyed a whole garment. Never a fabric to cut apart. The ice dye really did gorgeous things to the dye separation. I’m super interested in this! Go Bianca Go! And I love your flowers tattoo!
Thank you Thea! I've graduated to doing some yardage and it's sooooo fun 🤩
Aaaaah! It's so pretty 😍
Thank you Sarah!
