Early Access // This Week's Video (and an update for Curators!)
This week on the channel I'm showing how I made the slightly wild cyberpunk inspired jacket! Truly this could be quite be quite a chic blazer if done in one or two fabrics instead of you know...five or six. Still I hope I can make an all black version soon!
Also attention Curators, Preparators, and Conservators, your video usually comes out on the 20th, facts, buuuuut I ended up making and filming an entirely new project this week for that, so it will be up a bit late! I hope you will enjoy the new video, as I had a bit of a stumble with the first version. All will be explained soon. Thank you for your patience and support!

Unrelated, but I’m watching the 2022 wrap up right now and can’t even wrap my mind around how much you created this year! As a fellow perfectionist/over achiever, I hope you’ve been enjoying some time to rest and take a break, Bianca. Your creativity and consistency is so impressive!
Thank you Colleen! I have been taking it easier since Christmas and am trying to prioritize rest, but it is a challenge for me! I've already made a coat, so I'm clearly only halfway getting the idea 😂 I'm going to try and play a video game and paint some cabinets this weekend as a break from sewing ✨
I love how brave you are with your material choices. Another work of art, absolutely stunning! I will be making my very first project in January thanks to you. I can’t wait for the holiday season to be over and everyone to go home so that I can play in my new sewing room. I will be re-watching some of your projects to help me along. Hope you had a wonderful and restful Christmas and I wish you all good things for 2023 x
Thank you Joanne! Happy sewing adventures for the New Year!!
I love the stripes and patches and most of all the colours! With pants, it would look nice while posing next to a brat style Triumph motorbike! Take a break soon!💜
Thank you Penny! Taking things slow now I promise!!
Do you have a preferred professional dress form?
I'm afraid I do not use a dress form myself, or I haven't since school. I liked the PGM forms fine, but haven't exactly "tested" others really. I prefer to design via flat pattern drafting as opposed to draping, though I am trained in both. I don't currently have a dress form I use, I just have a couple of mannequin-ish things for displaying clothes for photography is all!
Tyvek piping would be so cool lol! I love the jacket! It is so cool
Thank you Bernadette!
I loved watching this process!! OMG this is such a gorgeous piece!! Thank you always for making of videos from your look books!
Thank you Thea!!
Such a visually stunning piece of wearable artwork!!
Thank you Amy!
I love this jacket. That back is exquisite and I hope to someday make a slightly less complicated version. I'd love to see how that silver Tyvek wears over time. I have an old Tyvek wallet that became amazingly soft before it started falling apart.
Thank you Cheryl! I know just what you mean about how soft tykek can get!! I hadn't thought, but indeed time will tell!
Oooh, double comment, sorry. BUUTTTT a Victorian gown all tarted up with reflective tyvek accents! I’m having a vision…or maybe a seizure….
It’s okay if you’re confusing… it’s very early and I’m still sleepy, lol. I agree it’s so hard to give directions. When I do, it’s in print which is even harder… no visuals! Maybe a little diagram. And it’s always so difficult to decide how much to include.. what level of sewing knowledge do you assume on the part of the student? And I’m all about the variations, so there is a giant paragraph of notes on how to do it differently 😭😭😭
Thank you Susan! So true about how much to assume the listener already knows. I know I have a range from beginners to experts which means I hope one day to find a balance between including everything but not being boringly over repetitive grrr 😅
The jacket is stunning 😍 I've only ever used the Tyvek mailers in book binding, that stuff is weird!
Thank you! I wish someone offered more options of this sewable version, it's funny stuff but quite cool for special effects!
