Definitely making this beauty! It's gorgeous
Thank you Ailsa! Do itttt ✨
Thanks so much for demonstrating the peplums 😍 I think I’m going to give that a try!
God I wish I could sew!!! The closest I'll get is mending and embroidery. But I do love to watch you and listen to your narration. This came out beautiful! You are actually the one who inspired me to add beading to my embroidery so you did teach me something! Feel better soon sending you love and boops!
Thank you Beth! Embroidery is a mixed media in my world 😂 all materials are welcome ha!
This is so cute! Hope the cough goes away soon. I'm currently beading my Halloween outfit, it's taking so much time. I am still in awe of how much detailing you manage. Love the fluffy moth brooch
Thank you Ivy! Good lucky will all the embellishment! ✨
Oh yes, that shade of orange with the black looks great! I can picture a cute swishy old fashioned bowling jacket out of those colours. You do such lovely work! I used to do martial arts and when you were doing the sash, it reminded me of how there was a special way we had to tie our belts (I only ever made it to red) so they would make this flat little diamond shape. A silly memory to have come up, but anyway, I like your dress and hi to Leonard and friends!
Thank you Penny! Leonard returns the Halloween hello 🎃
I just loved the black and orange! Orange is my favorite color, which is so darn un-goth of me. But it is very Halloween so…. Sorry you caught the plague grrl! Don’t push so hard you long haul. Please take care!!!!!
Thank you Thea! Orange can be very goth I say!! 🎃
I’m so confused with tucks! My brain just won’t wrap around how they work. Do you have a video that explains the process of tucks vs darts?
I promise they are /almost/ the same as darts. It's just sewing a dart halfway really, stopping halfway along before the point instead of sewing all the way /to/ the dart point 😅
I thought this was a great video. I do like that you added the spiderweb to the dress because who doesn't like a little bling?
Thank you Donna! I do love a sequin or a hundred it's true ✨
I watched your video yesterday and this popped up locally today https://twitter.com/AuburnVintage/status/1583420384577101824?s=20&t=elWpo5M5uKxlFzaLYiIxEA
Love the dress! Where did you get those shoes.....best pair of black shoes I've ever seen. Glad you are feeling better. Sure the babies kept you company in bed!
Thank you Bobbie! The shoes are from American Duchess (from several years ago sadly)
Possibly a silly question, or ingenious idea: when you're on the East Coast, can we get Mood Field Trips? maybe we can bring our Patternmaking for Fashion Design books and have an impromptu (but paid for) inperson class?
Thank you Lauren! I'm afraid my social anxiety would not like such things 😅
Gorgeous, and I love the spider web, and how achievable it is.
Thank you Marie!
Beautiful!! (Easy?) video idea: can you walk us through what you were doing at 8:30 to estimate the peplum? And the consequences of your choice there on the finished garment? I agree with @susanfuzz - happy for you to pace and rest and give us spooky content through December! 🖤
Thank you Aubree! All I was really doing with the entirety of this peplum boils down to: "guessing" and "hoping it works out" so ehhh... I'm not sure if I can explain how my brain works in those moments!
I hope you get to feeling better very soon! Have you tried lying on your stomach to get to sleep? It's supposed to be easier to breath lying on your stomach.
Thank you Laura! Luckily I can breath just fine, it's just the coughing that gets irritating!! Like I have a tickle in my throat all night, but it's slowly going away thankfully 😅
I used to buy on fabric.com from Canada. Amazon ca doesn't have the fabric shop, so I guess everyone who's not American is out of luck. This leaves me with one entire place online to buy fabric, great. Not unless I want to pay ridiculously expensive boutique prices. Surely this can't be allowed.

Please rest and recover...I love the dress....but. Oh my your beautiful blue moth brooch is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS...
Thank you Raelene! ✨
Hi there, Leonard my punkin love! Don’t rush the spooky content.. I’m ok with extending Halloween until mid December, lol. It’s a lovely dress and you look delightfully goth in it 🖤 Hope you are 100% soon :)
Thank you Susan! 🦇🍂
Absolutely gorgeous. Love the colors. Wishing you spooky vibes. 🙂🙂🙂
Thank you Pam! 🎃❤️
Beautiful. fabric.com has close down as of today. No warning. Just closed it.
Thank you Danilelle! So random!?
Gorgeous (as always)! So excited about your house hunting adventures. We are in the same boat. The Mohawk Valley, in NY has wonderfully old homes that need some love. Wishing you luck on your search 🤞🏼
Thank you Jamie! I hope you find a beautiful gem of a house!
Love it. It's funny hearing you apologize for the number of pins you use; I've learned a lot from you and probably the first thing was that I never used to use enough pins. It makes so much difference. If you have to make easier projects then do it, if only to take care of yourself. Long Covid is no joke.
Thank you Cheryl! If I have learned one thing about the internet is "they" will point out everything you do "wrong" like use too many pins, or not enough, or using pins at all...one can never win lol 😂
🎃🎃🎃 can't wait to watch this tomorrow after work!
