This Week's Video and Other Delays
Yikes.
So this week's video for the channel really ran away from me, and not only did I not get it exported in time to go up today, I also don't have today's Patreon exclusive pattern drafting video edited yet for you either!!! Feeling very professional today...NOT
I'm so sorry for the delay. I'll have the sewing project video up as soon as it's edited of course. However, as I'll have to wait until around 3pm tomorrow to release the now finished sewing room organization and decor video on the channel (due to picky picky algorithm reasons), I can at least give you all a tiny bit of early access to this video!
Again, I'm very sorry about these delays. Clearly I took on too much this last week with all the extra craft projects I added onto my original plans for this sewing room refresh. I hope you all enjoy this video and I will be back with more here on Patreon very soon ❤ Thank you for your support!

Small Scraps Idea: stuffing for hip pads and shaping? Belt Kits: I found several at Who Gives A Scrap, when the Fort Collins store closed, so if you're ever up for a trip to Colorado Springs for their original store, in the 'after times' might be a way to do and play with that. Dating Your Singer: 1 of 50,000 machines released on February 9, 1955. (http://ismacs.net/singer_sewing_machine_company/serial-numbers/singer-ek-series-serial-numbers.html) Gosh, I hope it's not weird to suggest places in Colorado! Dating people's vintage machines makes me super happy, so again, hope that's not weird! Really enjoyed the video and the aesthetic! It's total vibes.
HI Ms. Townsend, If you really like to date sewing machines can you date mine? It's a vintage Husqvarna Automatic from around the late 50' or early 60' and I'm curious as to what year more exactly. Let me know what you need. If you rather not that's fine too. I love my machine, just the way he is. Yes I think he is he, and it might be kind of weird, when most of the machines, and things produced on them, seem to be referred to as female. I'm okay with being a bit (or a lot) weird or strange. I think weird is a bit on brand with me. It's not anything new, I've been called weird since...always. Ask my more normal but teasing sister. I'm completely fine with weird. It must be boring not being a bit weird, don't you think . I bear my weirdness as protection from all the drab, common and sameness of the non-weird world. That world just have to live with themselves, because I certainly wont. Life's to short for boring. At least in my opinion. Yours, Ann
Gotta love the chaotic mind. They can do great things! And yes, they leave clutter behind. That is the collateral of a genius mind... As Einstein said: "Only the stupid needs order, the genius rules the chaos"...
Cluttercore for life.
I had that plant and killed it because I watered it too much. Make sure to feel down at least 1 inch into the soil to see if it's dry. Plants prefer to dry out a bit and then get a thorough watering, rather than constantly being wet.
Shouldn't be hard to keep dry here in Colorado, the air here is super dry! I'll try not to drown it eek!
ApothecaryCore! I enjoyed the reorganization more than I should, as I sit here bemoaning the conditions in my own office/sewing room/pit of horrors.
Thank you Karen! I put it off for a long while, but since my room ends up in videos...I just had to get it done ha!
I watched this video this morning while cleaning my own sewing room; it was so much more motivating to straighten things up "with" a sewing buddy than when I'm all by myself. But in all honesty, it doesn't really ever get done when I'm all by myself. Haha Side note: I'm very interested to see what you'll do with the black and white polka dot satin with big pink roses (laying on top of the fabric pile at the beginning of the video). I have the exact same fabric; I think it has a lot of potential, but can't figure out for the life of me what to make with it.
I'm afraid my fabric has fruit on it instead of roses, it has got oranges and cherries! I'm working on that project now :)
My local goodwill store takes fabric for recycling, they bulk sell it to India if I'm not mistaken. so anything I have that wont work as a kitchen rag I just box up and give to them. Relives my guilt of not using every inch of fabric and clears up a lot of space. I cut anything bigger thats not enough for a project or mock up in cotton into squares and use it as reusuable waste towels. I can throw them in the washer or toss them in the trash and not feel too bad. Saves on my paper towel usage.
Hey, what? I was admiring your fan, then you just casually talked about a folding fan book and didn’t share the title??? I am sad! <—me asking for title...
'tis called Unfolding Pictures, Fans In The Royal Collection :) I just wish the book was twice its size, as it would be better as a full sized affair. I love hand fans! I wish there were more resources to buy nice fan sticks so I could make some ❤
Make a muff! I was wondering why you didn’t have more! Faux leopard or something. Sooooo vintage with a gorgeous satin lining. I completely relate to having my legs go numb. Sucks out loud. In 2019 I crashed from a wheel chair onto pavement. At high speed. Now I can’t remotely bend down or pretzel my legs. It is really odd to not do it. I’m glad to get this little snatch of your cleaning video. It is like just sitting and chatting. ❤️
Just messaging to say you do great work, don't beat yourself up for being late for an arbitrary deadline 😊
Thank you Amy ❤
