I was inspired to support you here based on being so impressed by your stencil work in your sewing parlor. Then I went back and looked through the years of your amazing projects. Wow! I love your insects and can’t wait to see what sea creatures you might conjure up. I’m so happy for you that you’re living your dream of making a beautiful home that reflects your vision. I know you’re balancing your business with building a new life, but please be assured that the quality of your work and artistry is truly impressive. Your fans want you to feel grounded and thrive in your new home. Buying an old house, moving to a new place, leaving behind your familiar surroundings are all huge adjustments. 5 pieces a month, at your standard, is a lot more than I see elsewhere from creators who are juggling fewer plates. All this is to say, please give yourself permission to rest. All the best to you and your kitties from me and my kitties!

Thank you so much Sara! I am not known for my skills with balance, I've always got more ideas and tasks than time, but I hope I'm getting a little better each year...maybe 😅

It's all looking amazing and I can't believe how much you've gotten done in only six months. You've taken on so much and while it's gorgeous, I hope you give yourself some rest this weekend ❤️

Thank you Sarah! I feel like the hideous levels of my kitchen keep me right back on earth 😂

Speaking of escaping cats: we moved into a Baltimore row house in August with central air that was *almost* installed…. We had to open some windows, but there were no screens on the top floor. It was 3 stories up and we thought the cats were not stupid enough to go out … but we were wrong. Miss Nubbins stayed inside and snoozed like the chonk she was. Mr. Booger, however, squeezed his bony ass out of the barely cracked window and leapt around the rooftops at 3 am. We put some tuna on our side of the window, opened it a bit wider and went back to bed. Eventually he got hungry and came back. The windows remained firmly closed for 3 more sweltering days until the AC was functional. Cats, man.

See this is the kinda story I didn't want to happen to me so I locked them babies up, much to their complaints 😅 One can never trust cats to not be chaotic!

I’ve used a folding screen to hide a window and window unit, it also served as a lovely way to showcase some fabric. Can’t wait to see what you come up with.

I dream of having antique Japanese or Chinese folding screens, one day 😍

I'm looking forward to seeing the completed living room, but I'm also really hoping you get some rest soon! I've only painted walls and ceilings once and it was exhausting, especially the ceiling. So large and so high up, ow.

Thank you Vincent! I can say my body definitely needs a real rest after stenciling this room oof 🥵
