The felines have landed!
Whew! Three days in the car, two nights in hotels, and 1800 miles later my cats are in the new (old) house in New York ✨ In fact, I am typing this with a tiny silver/tan tabby named Oliver on my lap, and it's significantly slowing me down, since he insists on being held. He is very /very/ cute, so we will forgive his neediness.
Now begins the initial organization and first bit of unpacking. Hopefully I can even get my podcast recorded tomorrow, though at my present levels of discombobulation it will no doubt be even more rambling than usual! Be back soon!

Such a precious moment, and your voice and the heart over the door. Thank you for sharing such a personal moment with us. I like your cats. Ollie especially seems to always look like he's posing for a portrait, so sage and dignified and with a little bit of mischief. Your voice changes by about - 25 years when you talk to your cats! Like mine, when talking ro my dogs.
Such brave kittens, mine hid for more than day not trusting anything. These beauties are already exploring! I hope they settle soon!

Also, I love the way all cat parents seem to talk to their cats (complementary, me included). I've given all three of my cats incomprehensible nicknames. They are silly little creatures who deserve silly little nicknames

Aww, so glad you're all there now. They look very aware seeing they've had such a huge move. That cat hole in the wall is absolutely brilliant, wish I had one in my room although I dont have a cat 🤣 just two dogs and would need a huge hole for them to get through.
