Not related to this podcast, but I saw this and thought you could do something great with HTV in a similar look! http://www.dorotheasclosetvintage.com/30sTERRACottaSILKCrepeDECOdressLK.html
Would be very do-able and fun indeed yes!
I bought that iron based on your recommendation in a recent video when my 30-year-old one died a few weeks ago. It really is good. Would you consider giving patrons first dibs on your collection when you downsize? I just watched the Rabanne show and that grey suit with the capelet and fitted hood is something I need in my life soon.
I'm glad the iron is behaving! I will definitely give Patrons first dibs for sure. I think I will feel so much better once everything is a bit more organized!
I'm so proud of you for listening to your body and taking a break! You're doing great, you deserve rest, and we will still be here whenever you are feeling better 💜
Thanks Alicia! I even felt better the next day as if rest "works", what an inconvenient proof of concept 😅❤
Always entertaining! Thank you for the iron recommendation, I just happed to be in the market for one!
I'm in the south of the UK and have never been to Hever Castle, will add it to my list of places to visit. I had an English Heritage pass last year and went to visit lots of ruined castles including Tintagel, plus Stonehenge (very peopley).
I had a very good lunch in Lacock the day I took a bus tour from London to Stonehenge and lucky I don't remember it being too peopley then, though that was over ten years ago 😅
You are epic, take rest as often as you need, so we can enjoy your creative inspiration for a very long time.
Thank you! ❤ Luckily the ideas don't run out, just the energy/time 😅
Yes, but get the National Trust for Scotland pass, as it's cheaper than the England/Wales one, and is reciprocal.
Goals 😩❤
I really enjoy this view into the mind of a remarkably talented creator. Your Look Books are a work of professional art and every bit worth any delay. Thank you for the inspiration.
Thank you Denise ❤ All art is in some way trying to take what is in the mind and make it exist outside of it, so at least I know I'm not alone in the balancing act of making that work 😵
Rest! I think you need an assistant and I want to volunteer as tribute ❤️
A cloning machine is more like, I'm far to controlling to let go of anything 😅
Yes you can join the National Trust and visit all of their properties. Hever Castle is a gorgeous property. The wall hangings are amazing and the grounds are lovely. Well worth a day spent wandering around.
This is my retirement goal, a little English cottage (or one of those beautiful surely beyond very expensive Victorian places next to Kew Gardens 🤩) and visiting all the treasures
Go to bed lol ❤️ I'm super excited for this new lookbook but take care of yourself. Lying in awake in bed is still rest. It counts. Also love that at one point you were like "I'm going to take a rest I just need to do this, this, this, and this... and this." I've been there. Sometimes you just gotta call it a day.
Seriously I'm the worst, and to think I have gotten better about it 🤣 Baby steps. I went to bed and surprise surprise, I felt better the next day, how rude 😅
Sending love! 💖 Hope you did get the rest you said you'd
I went to bed very early and felt better the next day wahoo! Thank you ❤
As the people who pay your wages, we say TAKE A DAY OFF! I spent the last Bank Holiday weekend at Bodium Castle, in my 15th Century camp, wearing 15th Century garb. And yes, we picnic-ed. Well had lunch anyway 😆 Both National Trust and English Heritage have annual passes 😊
A whole day?! Couldn't be me 😂 I will...as soon as this lookbook is up! I have googled this castle and what a moat! Sounds like an excellent time ✨
Diamonds are made under pressure. They can also break under pressure. Have a generous rest. Maybe try some of the no talking shoe shine videos on YouTube. I find them to be comforting.
I love mudlarking videos on Youtube for calm background, plus history facts and tiny treasure ✨
Maybe some yoga nidra at night will help distract your brain long enough to go to sleep? There are free sessions on YouTube, I recommend wading through them to find a narrator you enjoy. Non-sleep deep rest (NSDR) is a good way to calibrate your circadian rhythm and slide into the magical REM sleep. An anatomy professor explained to our class that the body has deep pockets, but they are not infinite. The body keeps the score, and won't be ignored forever. Tldr: go to bed! And know that we'll be here cheering for you when you get back, no matter how long it takes! 💖
Thank you! ❤ I wish I were chill enough to even attempt yoga/meditation of any kind 😅 I do listen to science fun fact podcasts to fall asleep though, just distracting enough for my buzzing brain bees!
Not mad at all! It sounds cheesy AF, but you can't pour from an empty cup. Taking care of yourself & not getting sick (!!) is as important (if not more important!) than anything else.
Also, I am an SCA medieval nerd, so I am so excited about this look book!

lol - I think we understand this boss of yours. Please take care.
She's got wild ideas about timelines 😅❤
We’re not mad, just disappointed. 🤪 Get some rest. Don’t burn out too hard. Look at pretty houses. Write the books that make your brain happy. Feel better. I’m trying to rid myself of internalized capitalism. It’s hard. But ppl are worthy even when not producing stuff.
So true 😂❤ Thank you Jennifer!
Rest well and feel better 🙂. Try some melatonin for sleep, available at Walmart, Target, Amazon, etc. P.S.- I am not mad at you at all! Self-care is very important.
Thank you Masil! Luckily with an early to bed long rest I was not actually sick the next day wooo!
