Devlog #8: Conclusions
Hey there!
So after the last devlog and poll I took some time to think.
And well, I came to a conclusion, I decided to set ToU aside for a bit, until I feel like booting it up again.
Project: Jericho
It honestly wasn't an easy choice, but it's also the best thing possible, I realize that I'm a bit burnt out on it for now, mostly working out of duty than love, don't get me wrong the few things I did on 0.11 came from a place of love but here's the thing, it took far more than it needed.
To make up for it, I'll be working on Project: Jericho mainly for a few month.
It's a bit of a palet cleanser for me to get my hands on something else for a bit, my new rig is really helping pumping renders out for it.
Therefore I decided to shut the fuck up and put myself on deadlines, because not putting deadlines actually encourages me to do jack shit.
So Project Jericho 0.1 will be available to public, by the 15th of November.
With a private build for Demon tiers by the 20th of October (A week later for lower demons as usual).
I will also continue my small campaign of promotion for the project by sharing a bit more informations with the project.
Expect a few pointers within the few days / weeks containing more infos on the world you're about to head into and the people you're about to meet (And more) there!
If you're a Paragon / Demon Lord, I still want to reward you being a massive actor in my life by allowing you to port your character creation to Project: Jericho, starting the 15th of November when the 0.1 is released.
Tales of Unity
While I am not actively working in Studio, I am still working on developping Tales of Unity, mostly new scenario ideas, and ways to protect my script.
You've been a TON to DM me or tell me about ways to protect my script to prevent the loss in the future, and I thank each one of you for it.
For now I'm thinking about ways to continue the story in the best possible way, I took a step back and realized that ToU was closer to it's conclusion than I expected.
I want to clarify it again, Tales of Unity, will be completed, one way or another and it will contain the full story as my mind wrote it a few years back.
It's mostly a matter... Of when.
My personnal life
Here's the part you can skip if you don't care about my ol' ass.
So as most of you may know, in April 2022 I signed a contract to get a stabler income for a few month alongside that deal I had to work extra hours, draining my time it was a major actor in ToU's delayed update, but it was the price to pay to live a bit better, and even today, I was able to afford my new PC thanks to it.
Unfortunately it also forced me back into depression, I hate being tracked down and I hate being indebted, which is Ironic considering how the project is going.
But it ended up being a mentally extremely rough experience for me, tomorrow I'll put an end to my contract for good, losing half of my income, but ensuring my mental health and my time for what I love.
When you're a content creator, you can't help that feeling of stress when you don't uphold your end of the bargain, and I haven't managed to be an actual dev for now over 6 month.
It's VERY stressful to know that you disappoint people, and I disappointed you guys and I can never be sorry enough for it.
Every end of the month is a stressful time, you don't know who will stay, who will leave, just yesterday I lost 250$ or so in pledges for October.
I don't complain about it really, I haven't posted anything tangible in 7 month that is to be expected, I actually feel worse about the fact that my own laziness led to it.
Hence why I want to take things as best as I can for Project: Jericho, not only can I get back on my feet.
I can go far beyond, and that's my goal, so brace yourself, I know that Tales of Unity is the reason that hyped you and brought you here, and I ask that you give Project: Jericho a shot.
Because same as Tales of Unity, I'm putting a lot of heart into each of these characters, and into the overall story again, and I think you'll enjoy it, I know I do.
On that note, I'm done for today's Devlog, take care and thank you again for the time you spend next to me cheering me up, and pushing me forward, I know everyone says it but you have no idea how good it feels to know you're doing something good!
Have a good one Legends.

You're good in my book... Will it suck to wait for ToU to get rebooted? Obviously, but if you're burned out on it, the results will be below par. I'd rather wait than get something I don't *really* like... And I will definitely look at P:J, as I want to see what your kooky brain came up with to entertain us! Love bro, keep positive and let's end this year with positivity! P:J will rock!
Thanks a lot for the heart warming comment brother
