Small Dev Update
Hey everyone, just wanted to let you know that I'll try to release the chapter 2 finale scene this month. Not everything will be finished and polished but honestly I've become so burned out on it that I need to release what I can and let myself work on other parts of the game. This is a very important piece but I can't let it slow the development progress so much. When it comes time for more polish in the future, I will continue to improve some things.
Some good news is that chapter 3 and 4 including the final boss battles and ending of the game are mostly planned out and we are just hammering out the finer details. I'm hopeful that shifting to working on updating game mechanics and new monsters and areas will freshen things up a bit.

Great news there might be an update still this month! :) Do you have a calender mapping out the development broadly or does it go more the "gardening" approach bit by bit?
I had a calendar but then it became a wild garden. I'll try to tame it someday.
There's honor in taking care of yourself and taking time to rest past the burnout. Please do not feel beholden to sacrifice your health and happiness for progress
Thank you, it really is difficult to balance health and life with this kind of work, even if it is a kind of "dream job" situation.

The main part will mostly be done but there won't be the additional scene options and some of the extra characters won't be added yet.
Absolutely understand the burn-out, so take it easy and don't force yourself on something you might end up coming to hate. You've made such great progress and it's looking wonderful, you should be justifiably proud of what you've accomplished.

Wow, I really like the choice of weapon for Lyric. I'm glad you didn't go for a staff or something for the healer and while him being a bard with that name is a bit cheesy, it's still really nice. Also, wow some of those new animations look amazing!
