CARS
This month we spent a lot of time getting the Kymoto Sorana fully playable, which took a lot of work. We gave it 3 possible engines; 16v 4A-GE, SR20DET and 20v 4A-GE. The 4A-GE also got a completely new engine sound with ITB intake noises.
We're also working on the S13 Coupe and S13 Vert, which will be ready very soon; only minor tweaks and testing remain. The R32, R33 and R34 Skylines are coming after that and are also currently being worked on.
WIP FEATURES
Other things that are almost complete but aren't included in this update;
Complete overhaul of the exhaust + exhaust flame system
Complete overhaul of photomode
Cinematic replay system with placeable cameras and full timeline editing
Discord integration
Expansion of the crew ranking and crew systems
ENVIRONMENT
Oi Wharf has had its first full-resolution lighting bake, but it still needs a lot more work. The map has now been split into chunks and we've started making the houses and other surrounding buildings.
September will be focused heavily on Oi Wharf, along with expanding the crew and progression systems.
Overall, this is one of the biggest updates to the game so far; almost every part of the game has been touched in some way. A lot of the work this month has been focused on improving the base game and getting everything ready for the new maps, cars and crews coming next. This update has been through more testing than any previous update, but because of it's size, there might still be some bugs. Please make bug reports! Thank you for understanding, I hope you enjoy! See you soon
