We have coyotes in the midwest--they moved in after we got rid of the wolves, there's a really good You're Wrong About episode on it :)
This is years old but the puppy story always sounds insane to me as a metaphor for discipline because its always sounded like a pro slavery aurgment to me
The basement of Whit’s End is the Backrooms
I have the "he what?" clip on a soundboard on Discord. All but one of my friends thinks it's from King of the Hill, the one who knows what it is from is in on the joke as well... Well I say "joke" more "audio stim that never leaves"
I love the theory Whit was the 9ne who Grinched the Barclay's. That's cannon as far as I'm concerned. If I may offer another observation: you talk about how George was blaming himself for getting burgled, and that doesn't make sense, and how the episode should have ended on a good Cjristian moral of hey, we lost the stuff but we've got each other and the Lord. But I think it's that sinister "prosperity gospel" shit at work. George is immasculated, unable to provide for his family for Christmas. What sort of man is that? Good thing there are so many Christians around who donate their time, labour, and money to restore the Barclay family to prosperity. See? If you pray hard enough, you get nice stuff. Some fine material goods. But only if you're not beefing with your local Christians, of course.
Just falling into these after mot having thought about Adventures in Odyssey for maybe 25 years. What a delight to hear a Calvanism thrown at some of the beliefs of the show, and now I equally boil with rage knowing nobody ever comes along to put Whit in his place, the bothersome old busy body.
I hope Dobson is getting corporal punishment in Hell.
I love how much y’all reference both Urkel and Sonic because Jaleel White also voiced a version of Sonic at some point
As soon as I heard the "Whit doesn't believe in coincidence" bit, I had a terrible realization that Whit would have been the most Qanon-pilled people you can imagine.
coyotes exist in the midwest! idk about Ohio specifically but they're in Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska for sure
I understand this is 2 years old but the weird voice Pamela has in “Connie” is all the more sinister when you realize the same actress uses that same voice to play the weird Love People cult member in “hidden in my heart”. Coincidence? I think not
I don't like that I caught myself involuntarily saying "praise be to God" after Brian said The Word of our Lord
Poor Jimmy. Y'all must've loved Skinamarink, BTW. Similar vibes. I'm guessing anyway, having only been brave enough to watch the trailer.
I did a double take when I heard "Eugene proposes to Whit" before I heard the rest of the sentence about automating the trains. It turns out the real no no door was the one on the closet.
Please please do a horror reboot of AiO 😂
We're actually working on one! But, in the meantime, we'd personally recommend the commercials in Episode 15 ("Putting the Christ Back in Thanksgiving") and Episode 33 ("Actually, It's About Ethics in Middle School Journalism") if horror AiO is what you're after! But be warned! They get pretty spooky!
