A "Good Vibes" Apartment & Production Sneak Peak
Hello everyone! Chloe here. Today is showcase day; which means we have some new rooms to show, as well as new Build Mode objects! As usual, 🚨this post is for Patrons only, so please do not share it, thank you🚨
For this new apartment, we wanted to feel "good vibes" and we wanted it to feel warm. Of course, Léa and I just couldn’t resist making it vibrant and slightly retro; although, I guess it does match its occupant!
Eclectic colors never fail us…
I think the living room is really the star of the show, and a music enjoyer’s haven. Yes, the vinyls on the wall are recolorable! Most things in here are, in fact.
Of course, after seeing those squiggly mirrors all over interior design social medias, I couldn’t resist adding one in the game. And I like eggs, so…egg rug 🥚
The bedroom, on the other hand, feels a bit calmer. It’s hard to have a peaceful night’s sleep when there are too many pretty colors to look at. I love the new hats that can be displayed on the walls, which you can also find in the PAM!
Something Exciting is in the Works
Recently, the team has been hard at work. Why? Well now, that’s a secret! But in terms of scenes, we can give you all a little sneak peak at what we’ve been working on.
We’ve shown a gym before, but this one is a ‘’fancy’’ gym. You know for sure the monthly subscription cost has too many zeroes at the end. For it, Léa created new items for gyms and workouts!
I feel like I’ve been working on a lot of machines…Can you guess what’s being worked on, just from these items?

This was an early sketch, when we were planning the general layout of the cafe. It has since then evolved quite a bit, especially in terms of look!

I hope that ceiling fan works!
What strikes me most in this apartment is that glass division between living room and bedroom. Really nice feature, you don't see that often in life sim games. And of course my personal favourite, all the thin-legged 60's furniture serving as the main equipment for finishing this space. Yay ! My Parafolk could live there. (Maybe with color hues shifted toward blue more, but it willl be all doable in Paralives, as we know).

Looks really great, full, and lively. So excited! Really love the art style still! Keep up the amazing work y'all!!!!! Y'all were the first to challenge EA publicly, sticking true to your life simulation vision amongst the new competitors is probably tough but we believe in ALL of you!
in the final game will sunlight pass through the roof? I love the build mode but this has bothered me a lot and i think it would cause confusion in gameplay especially when it comes to weather etc.
Well they did state in earlier post that seeing the sun shine through was because they removed the ceiling.
A café! 🤩 One of the things I want to build the most in Paralives besides houses! Can’t wait to see more!
Id love to see paras interact with all these objects - if some are interactable, I miss videos 💞💞💞

The apartment is spectacular! I love the intensity of the table lamps exposure on the walls ! You guys are doing an incredible job. That gym is my dream public gym !!! 😍😍

Stop it, because that street view alone got me hype! I can't wait to see this beautiful neighborhood. This is such a treat every week to see how the game is progressing! I wonder if EA has scouts under a paid subscription just a-lurking 👀😂😂
LOVE the look of the living room and bedroom! So many fun things. This might be a dumb question, but will you open it up to creators to import items? I feel so inspired to make my own objects, too!
They've said since the beginning that modding and custom objects will definitely be available. The tools are already part of the game and are what the team use to add new objects! I'm pretty sure there was a post or two talking about what is already possible and what is planned in terms of modding :)

I love the wicker items 😭 also the look of the materials on the coffee machines. I love that cafés will be in the game, they're my fav hangout spot IRL. The vinyls on the wall look a bit low-poly though. I think they should be just a bit more round 💿 I spotted that road btw! 👀 since you guys have been teasing roads ever since that yellow house, I can't wait to see more fleshed out environments eventually
absolutly love the apartment, it reads 70's inspired to me, great color palette. As a coffee fan I am head over that the game will come with cafes, it's such a great third place to meet people both irl and in a life sim

1 question: in the sims there was 3 wall modes: walls down, cutaway and walls up. I always used cutaway walls in live mode but wished to have some kind of semi-cutaway mode. Like if you are in a room, the back wall is up so you can feel that you are IN that room. The whole house is transparent thing just breaks the immersion sometimes. I don't know if it is feaseble or understandable at all :D
Hi! I totally get what you mean. Currently do have the 3 wall visibility modes you mentioned (walls down, walls at the back up but at the front down, walls up). We want the player to see the space as they prefer it and so we offer these 3 options :)

I’m assuming they’re referring to the color wheels. They’ve shown a lot of stuff is very customizable :)
