Showing Off a Fancy Classic-Style House
Hello everyone! Chloe here to bring you all another Patreon post!
As some of you may have noticed, most of our previous showcases featured more modern furniture. As such, for the past month, I’ve been focusing on bringing more furniture variety to the game. For today’s post, let’s look at this more old-chic house I’ve been working on!
The house from this previous Patreon post now has a new neighbour with a completely different vibe!
For this house, I kept to warm neutrals with a little punch of elegant navys and burgundys here and there. I couldn’t help adding a little bit of a punch of color!
The living room, with arches leading to the dining room and kitchen. I’m a big fan of the mirror over the fireplace, as it makes the space instantly more luxurious.
Another view of the living room. Of course, the piano and pendulum clock were a must for this type of decor.
The dining room, with its looooong table (thanks, resizing!). We get to see some of the new paintings I created for this house, since we needed something different from the other paintings we already had. It did make me practice my still-lives, though!
The bedroom with our new bed, side tables and bench. Listen, I’d usually say a burgundy carpeted floor is a crime, but for this house, it DID fit.
Our new closet and dresser. They are bulkier than the other closets and dressers we already had in-game!
A discerning office was very much needed for this house. When creating the space, I had in mind a Para that was a retired lawyer: not a banker, like what the banker table lamp may have suggested.
Seems our lawyer is busy registering to our Patreon… By the way, there may (or may not) be a secret under the desk. It will be up to you all to investigate when you get your hands on the game!
Other than antique furniture items, I also created some clutter. They are mostly hidden in the house’s bathroom.
Soaps, face creams, toothbrushes and toothpaste… The team’s favourite is the toilet paper rolls (which you can stack, so you know why it’s a favourite) and the tissue box!
That is it for this week. I hope you enjoyed seeing a new style of house and furniture this time around. We think having a good variety in furniture will be perfect to create houses for Paras with different preferences and lifestyles, so we will be working towards expanding our style catalog for in-game furniture and decor.
Now then, have a great weekend!

This is so dang cute!
This looks so beautiful and cozy!
I live for the detail in that green lamp. Would love to see some more vintage glass lamps
This is lovely! I absolutely adore the bathroom. It seems you wanted to point out the resizing feature 😉 very good job as always 😊 Have a glorious day!
OMG Chloe, you truly knocked it out the ballpark! I hope you made lots of swatches to go along with all this awesomeness ;) I especially love the dresser and wardrobe in the bedroom, and that it's not that nasty orangy-brown or yellowy-brown that a certain other game insists on tossing our way, is a major plus! How about a few variations of hope chests for the foot of the bed, such as these? https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71MOwzzPK1S._AC_SL1500_.jpg https://i.etsystatic.com/10030661/r/il/e417a0/2181679442/il_1588xN.2181679442_gbc8.jpg https://images.saymedia-content.com/.image/c_limit%2Ccs_srgb%2Cq_auto:eco%2Cw_760/MTc0MjM1NjIwODUwMjgwMzE2/how-to-start-a-hope-chest-for-your-children-or-grandchildren.webp https://images.saymedia-content.com/.image/c_limit%2Ccs_srgb%2Cq_auto:eco%2Cw_760/MTc1MDEwMDk4NDc5OTAwMzky/how-to-start-a-hope-chest-for-your-children-or-grandchildren.webp These 4 are a nice variety to suit most tastes, and I myself would be over the moon having them in game. Maybe they could even be used for storage? keep up your amazing work and major kudos to the whole team for all you do to make this game something I cannot wait to get my hands on <3 Big virtual hugs to you all <3
I love this!
I need this game to come out asap so I can finally, leave the toxic sims game behind. It looks incredibly. and the fact that modders will be able to work "alongside" you instead of having to loop around you is amazing. WIll you be allowing mods besides just, furniture etc. LIke, gameplay mods?
This looks wonderful! And I love that you're providing everyday furniture that, together with the colour wheel, will make it almost limitless. The houses you've created look so real that I feel that this could be my house, or my aunt's house or the lady down the street. Nothing you guys make feels contrived! This is awesome!
I love it I love it I love it I love it!!!
Omg yaaaasssssssss!!! I've never been the biggest fan of modern styles, so I'm sooooo happy to see older stuff being made! I'd love to see some antique stuff as well!
I would love an option to read in the bathtub cause that's 100000% what I would do if i had it
I’m loving all the new clutter items, and the fact we’re getting this in the base game makes me so happy! Btw the house is gorgeous too :)
Love it!
I like the pipe going up the wall with the bathtub. I used to have a clawfoot tub with a shower just like that.
Oh I hadn't noticed it but yeah it's a nice detail :)
I love this house :) But I also love to mix & match different design styles for an eclectic look, so I hope we will have a wide variety! Will modders be able to create furniture for the game?
Ill use that bathtub an unhealthy amount of times when i get the game oop
Beautiful!
OMG. WHAT?! I don’t think this game could get any cozier! I love modern furniture and houses. But this is perfect! It also feels so homey. Bringing me back in time with my grandma, baking cookies in the kitchen. And sitting by the fireplace, opening Christmas gifts. 😭 I love this! Also giving me some Norwegian cabin vibes. THANK YOUUUUUU 🥺🥰🥰
LIVING.
Thanks to this building engine/tool the possibilities are endless! As a huge Sims builder, I cannot wait to test it myself! Good job
So nice! I hope there will be some goth-style options, already collecting inspiration pics to be the creepiest Mansion of the neighborhood! :D
Love the clutter! I love doing bathrooms, I feel like it can tell a lot about a para! I wish there were dust objects too! In the Sims, there's a cluster of flat rocks which I love to downside and put on top of cabinets to simulate bits of ceiling eaten by critters or cookie crumbs next to a cookie jar! I hope a similar item will be integrated for old comfy houses! Love the work!!
This is so good, Chloé. I absolutely love the clutter (and you're right, the fact that the toilet paper stacks matters, somehow !) and the large "midnight sun" painting in the dining room is absolutely my style. "It will be up to you all to investigate when you get your hands on the game" wait a minute... The houses you've been showing to us are not just to display your work, they'll actually be canon ? Why didn't I realize that sooner, that's actually super cool. I thought they were just, like, promotional material for the updates. But they're actually in the game ? In hindsight I should have been more even excited about the previous ones than I have been.
I love the art deco look in the living room, big fan of that! It all looks amazing, can't wait to find the secret in the desk 😃
i LOVE it!!
I reallly really like this post and the furniture! But I have a question: is there anything off with the depth of the dresser? Or is it just the perspective (or me)? Looks somehow a bit flat in relation to the closet next to it.
I see what you mean! I’m pretty sure it’s just the perspective. The bottom right edge looks like it goes back in depth more so hopefully that’s the case!
I love this house. And I had a thought. In the game-that-shall-not-be-named, furniture that isn't of TOP QUALITY and TOP PRICE gives an uncomfortable vibe. Which I hate because I would love to have a shabby apartment for younger people that doesn't make them hurt. So I would love it if we could avoid the uncomfortable stuff for lower-end furniture. Maybe give a boost for higher end, but not a negative for lesser quality.
I agree with you! The "shabby furniture" vibe should only be felt by snobby Paras. For anyone else, they might just be happy to have furniture in the first place.
I love the coziness of these renders and the little details. Great work by all.
All of this looks amaaaaazing. I so can't wait to play with all of this 😭❤️
Cuuuute
Are those scratches I see on the leather office chair?? If so, what fantastic attention to detail!
Chloe this is incredible!! That art deco mirror is gorgeous and will look great with any style of interior design! I also especially love the desk chair and the clutter. Oh my goodness. These items are going to be infinitely useful! And CROISSANTS! I don't recall seeing croissants before! Yummy.
IN LOVE, WOW!
So happy to see some more clutter options! Clutter is what makes a house go from "show home" to "people actually live here", and it's so important for creating realism!
This style is perfect for storytelling that takes place from the 40s to 60s!
Looks amazing! I love vintage style, so this is perfect 😊 How do we place clutter on surfaces like shelves, tables, counters etc.? Do they clip on the right height or do we have to adjust them by hand?
I usually don’t build with modern furniture, so I’m very happy to see this 😍
Omg yes we love bulky furniture!!!
I can’t express how happy it makes me to see the doily tablecloth. It’s a big part of my culture and I’d love to be able to use it in my game. (It would be really cool if there’s and old bulky TV object with doily over it, just a suggestion 😉) I love seeing how much time you guys put in the details, everything looks amazing!!
I loved that touch because it combined with the orange-beige walls and faded brown furniture to look like the living room in the American television show called All in the Family, which was definitely supposed to look like it was decorated around the Great Depression-Post World War 2 era.
So beautiful! Amazing work guys, thank you!
Another patreon update! Nice! I like the classical house, I would love to live there one day.
Such a amazing work
