Showcasing a Complete House

Designing a Full House to Explore the Live Mode
As you probably already know, the team has been working hard on various aspects of the Live Mode and we needed a small home to test various aspects of Paralives’ gameplay. Our Parafolks needed to have access to many items to take care of their needs, so might as well make it fun and colorful!
A complete floor plan with everything our Parafolks need to fulfill their needs.
We wanted a big living space to showcase our modern furniture and decor. We chose to lean more into an industrial interior with metal, leather, and dark colors.
A cozy living room with everything you need to distract yourself from a stressful day. On the walls, you can see a new painting called ‘’Kroy Wen’’ created by Chloé.
Next comes the kitchen. Obviously, our Parafolks needed somewhere to cook their meals and have a cup of coffee in the morning. Because sometimes you need technology to simplify your life: dishwashers and small appliances are making their way into our Parafolks’ home!

Keep in mind that this house has been made to test things out, including those small interactable objects, you might not be able to place them as they are on the picture if it leads to technical issues later on. Also, some items might not be functional and just be clutter.
What is that behind the curtain? A washer-dryer set! We still haven’t decided on their use in terms of gameplay, but at least you can enjoy the view and remind yourself that you should probably do your own laundry.
After a long day of cooking and distracting yourself, it’s time to get cozy: grab a book, or practice your musical skill! We added new industrial pieces of furniture, a brand-new bed, and a piano.

The dresser from Maggie’s loft has been reworked and we added lockers to create a matching set. In the foreground, you have a closer look at the new piano!
The house being small, it was perfect for our new independent shower head.
A tiny bathroom with everything our Parafolks might want to use to tend to their hygiene need and a new mirror for them to reflect on their existence.
Finally, with summer just around the corner, it was time to add our barbecue to the mix and create an outdoor living space for our Parafolks!

We hope you liked our little house, it’s gonna be really helpful for us to test all the new Live Mode features. We’re still adding more pieces of furniture, appliances, and clutter to the game. We look forward to showcasing them soon!

I love the outdoor chairs
I’m sure you’re obviously working on more furniture styles, but with this game giving off such a cosy vibe, more cottagecore style furniture would be amazing! Brilliant job so far though, I’m so excited for this!

Aaaamazing! Love all the little details. the music sheets on the piano, notepad in the kitchen, cell phone on the table....gives it a complete and realistic vibe....Incredible work!! (regarding the cell phone it would be fun if some paras would misplace it and need to search for or have it fall between the sofa pillows- if that is technically possible.)
I like that the style of the game is like a watercolor painting. Makes it seem more laid back overall. Also different from The Sims and Life By You. I am looking forward to playing Maggie's Loft a lot. Always wanted to live in a loft like that and can act out the fantasy.
This is so beautiful! What a cozy and colorful home. I love the cat picture above the bedroom and I love the touches of clutter. It makes it feel lived in.

Where is the bidet in the bathroom??? Just joking, it looks great, realistic and cozy. I would love to live in there!

I love it!!! Although I will say I’m not a fan of how the non-glossy materials look… they seem weirdly flat, don’t fit the game’s aesthetic so far imo. They remind me of the house flipper *mobile game*. Some edge highlighting and lines might help but that’s my opinion :)
I agree! It might just be because its early stages though! We need more ambient/atmospheric lighting to help the items feel less plastic-y

I really love the way the glass looks. In some games glass don’t look very realistic which I can understand from a performance perspective. But I’m really glad that the glass looks more like glass.

Honestly i don't Care If i can actually interact with the items or use them for gameplay, but Just the fact that they're there makes a huge difference! Even If there is No laundry gameplay in the game it's still important to have Things Like a washer, dryer, drying Rack or whatever because those are items that exist in real life. God i am so existed!! I cannot Express how cool this Looks and how much i am looking Forward to this!

I... just... WOW!!!!! 😍 😍 😍 It just looks so cosy and... real! I don't know what it is about houses in The Sims, but they often look... hmm... doll house, I guess. But this looks like a real house! I am in LOVE! It looks beautiful! The gorgeous piano is my favourite piece, as well as that sweet little orchid, and the shelf in the bathroom is perfect! Are the radiators gonna add anything to the gameplay, like utility bills will be affected by the use of them, or paras will feel nice and toasty when inside on a cold winters day? Such a small thing but i think it adds so much. I cant wait to build in and play this game one beautiful day!

I hope so too- I loved doing laundry in the Sims 3 , it’s just sort of satisfying, though essentially useless. It adds realism i suppose! And it could add something if properly integrated. Your paras mood could be boosted when they put on freshly washed clothes, and it could make neat Paras uncomfortable if they havent done laundry in a while (wearing smelly clothes haha)

Cute house. I like the color scheme that you picked (...BECAUSE PARALIVES HAS A COLOR WHEEL). My only minus would be that had you not said the couch was made of leather, I probably wouldn't have guessed. But maybe it just needs a "leather folds" kind of texture or something, it's a detail. Lots of interesting items here, even though I did note some of them might be decorative. Well, worst case, that's what mods are for. Thanks for working so hard on the new items :) Pathing-wise, that bed is accessible on both sides ?
The open dishwasher gives the idea that some sloppy para didn't care to close it lol
Is that shower devider an item or can we create glass walls too? 🙀 Also, the curtain, can we stick that anywhere or does it come with the open door frame? I just am soo excited to build in this game now. Everything is looking beautiful and realistic! And whoever on the team built & decorated that has great taste 😎
Oooo love this. It feels cozy and well designed. Great job! I know some of the clutter has no functionality but it would be nice to have functional cereal boxes that parafolk can pour into a bowl and maybe in the kids cereal boxes they can get a toy that falls out of it 👀!?!?!?!

I don't know what I love most! The shower! The little organizer box on the bottom shelf of the bathroom! The small window that opens at that angle!! The shelf unit under the TV with the little jar/candle between the books!! The rugs that are realistic, cool, and useable patterns! "Kroy Wen" XD XD Everything is gorgeous and feels real. I can't wait to build everything ever in Paralives <3
