My guest on this week's Sewers of Paris is Damian Pelliccione, who started his career as an actor — if you watch closely, you can catch him on a 2005 episode of Gillmore Girls. Twenty years later, he’s in a very different role, as the co-founder and CEO of the streaming video service Revry. That ser

To mark the recent re-re-re-rebooting of The Muppet Show, this week we’re heading into the Sewers archives to revisit my 2020 interview with Dan Steadman. Dan grew up in a household that was so religious, his parents forbade him from watching certain episodes of The Muppet Show, due to a guest appea

My guest on this week's Sewers of Paris podcast is David Levy, co-host of the Muppeturgy podcast. David thrives when he’s putting on a show, goofing around with friends, finding ways to make an audience laugh — but finding the best way to do that took some trial and error and a bit of a lawsuit.

Hello there! In this week's bonus video, we're taking a look at some highlights from the life & career of Anthony Perkins -- in particular, how guarded he had to be while being interviewed by Mike Wallace in the 1950s. On the outside, he was a young 20-something heartthrob, but secretly he was roman

Well hello there! I hope you had a chance to check out my new video about the smashing Rita Moreno, and her absolute triumph of a career. In putting that together, I came across a ton of great stories that I didn't have room for in the final script -- so here they are in a bonus video just for you.

Hello hello! I know this bonus video's coming a bit later than usual, but I've been chugging away for the last couple days on a fun collaboration with some great folks -- that'll be revealed soon, but until then, here's some fun stuff I found while researching the most recent video about Jim Nabors.

Hello patrons! Here's another bonus video just for you, with stories that I wasn't able to fit into my recent Muppet Show video. This one features some fun details about gay Muppet Show guests (and also gay allies), as well as the unexpectedly long tradition of Gonzo wearing gender-nonconforming clo

Hello there! I hope you had a lovely Bastille Day this week, and stormed at least one castle to overthrow a ruling class of decadent monarchs. If not, don't worry, there's still time -- Jeff Bezos is going to space on Tuesday so there'll be nobody at his house for a few hours. I also hope you enjoye

Hello hello! If you're in the US, I hope you're enjoying a nice long thick holiday weekend; and if you're not in the US, sorry to gloat about having a long weekend but if it's any consolation at least you have health care. Here is a new bonus Patreon-exclusive video with some more fun stories that I

My guest this week has a lot of stories to share, both in his role as a filmmaker and as person who’s lived a lot of lives. Dan Steadman’s upbringing in a sheltered religious community found him placed in a lot of unusual circumstances, surreptitiously consuming forbidden entertainment and rebooting

This Week's Guest: Jonathan Renteria-Elyea Growing up as in atheist home, December was the closest I ever came to having a religious experience -- not because of actual religion, but the beauty of the snow and gifting and carols and lights just overwhelmed and transported me, years before I had any
