Game Dev is truly challenging

Hello.

After posting last week's poll, I gave some time for people to vote and during this time, I realized that there may be an opportunity to get some attention on Steam in February-March during the Next Fest. Next Fest is basically an event where not-yet-released games have their demo showcased, if the developers enter this event.

Submissions have to be done way ahead of time, and it made me realize that I should most likely prioritize finishing the demo so Steam can review it and to allow me to register for the Next Fest.

Because localization is pretty important, this also forced my hand to actually set up a system that allows switching languages in the game (much easier said than done). When you'd switch the language, all the text should be translated to that language, including dialogues, UI, etc.

Normally setting up such a system would take a team of devs at least 2-3 weeks, but I got lucky and it took me like 2 days, including also a way that allows me to translate 15-20 languages in only one day (for the entire text in the game).

However, my priority is more to do the localization for the demo build and not neglect the full build so as soon as I will finish translating any strings that are shown in the demo and I test it enough, I'll return to the secret ISA ending and the extra content that's supposed to be added thorough the game. If this experiment works out, then a higher amount of wishlists could guarantee enough interest to dedicate as much time as possible into also finishing the Night Club afterwards.

I hope I managed to explain myself well enough. For anyone who's not really familiar with Steam, the amount of wishlists you have before any kind of launch can make a big impact on the launch itself.

Regardless of that, I'll return with more news next week, hopefully I'll manage to get 90% of the demo done so I can resume work on the full build! Have a nice weekend!
