Sketching the City
Hello! I have managed all my tasks for this week, fortunately, and even did more than I intended to do.
(another shameless wishlist hint >.>)
The release posts for Patrons for this month are ongoing, running an Unity script to automatically build for all platforms. (and hopefully it won't fail, sometimes it fails at random)
The final changelog for this month with the newest content is this:
1 New Animation (with its own large cutscene, unlocked by choices in the Science R&D)
New Character Introduction with new character art (to be explored more thoroughly in the Hub/the City)
4 New Cutscenes (2 opportunities to get new stamps depending on choices)
Street Animal(s)
Improved Character Movement (subtle)
Added sounds to a few older animations and adjusted dynamic pitch
Bugfixes such as fixing the music & SFX slider not changing the volume of audio sources in the game
Made character avatar art fit the chibi by removing deprecated flipping requirement
Currently there are some issues, such as the game not scaling very well for ultrawide screens (or even non 16:9 screens). I'm not sure how to fix it, Unity doesn't provide out of the box letterboxing methods outside of Android, where I noticed that letterboxing happens automatically so that's a bit of a problem.
I'll take care of that issue next week. Next week I also want to finish the cutscene for the village ending together with the dialogues that drive that cutscene, so through responsible plot pacing we'll be back at the ship with some opportunities for side content before jumping back into the main plot for the Hub/the City.
That's my update for this week, will try to get some rest this weekend so I can be back at it at full focus next week.
I wish you all a great weekend!
