Malevolent Planet 2D - Contemplation (Poll)

What makes a good game a good game? 🤔

What's the difference between a good NSFW game and a bad NSFW game? 🤔

Why do people generally support NSFW game devs? 🤔 Is it about the incentive, or is it about  the feeling of goodwill, of supporting the person who makes something you enjoy interacting with, like a game?

Questions like this have been plaguing me for the past few days. The reason is, over time, I've definitely tried to be "closer" to what people want to see in the content I'm making. Many of these attempts didn't turn out to be permanent, due to time restrictions, such as frequent, consistent polls on seeing what kind of content people would like to see in the next content update.

However, I don't think such polls are very useful neither and generally "popular creators" do what they're in the mood to do, and their fans seem to enjoy it, without constant input/feedback on desired content.

I've been checking a few popular NSFW games in the past 2 weeks and generally they're not focused on providing the most accessible gameplay, the best "user interaction experience", the best written dialogue and story, on the other hand they seem to be providing something fun and enjoyable at least according to players' feedback.

In the end, I ask for your help to understand whether I'm actually on the right track with the game's development and if what I'm missing is actually marketing the game and not a deep underlying issue with the game itself that may prevent people from supporting development.

If you can take a minute or two to think about it, considering that if you're reading this you're most likely familiar/close to the game's development, please consider making a choice with what you honestly think about the game.

Regarding my bulletpoints for this week, what I'll want to get done this week is animating the 2 scenes we have that are already drawn, together with making the android version of the game easier to play. The post on Friday will be better laid out, and hopefully less depressing.

The question for the below choices is:

Do you think the game is missing something crucial that separates it from other good games out there? If so, please pick the options that seems most "true". Multiple choice is enabled, but I'd like to know which are actually the most important points I might be missing.

I think my biggest “complaint” with the unity 2D version at the moment is that there isn’t much to play. That being said, I enjoyed the text-based version, it had a good story and the nsfw content was good. As for the development priorities, I think that, for me, the game does need to be playable, but it doesn’t need to be anything groundbreaking either. To me the plot and the “plot” are the more important parts. For now, the 2D version just needs more content, and I don’t really have any complaints beyond that.

I support independent NSFW game developers because i want to get new games with new fetishes and a nice story. So game must : 1) work without bugs 2) provide great story 3) have nice scenes with variety of different fetishes
