About a week after my 40th birthday, my sister apologized for not planning a party for the big milestone, and I told her that I got the exact amount of celebration that I was looking for.
Yeah I am the same, I am not too interested in the ceremony either. It is a bit of a show off, look at us we are awesome type of thing.

I have rejoined, as I found I am not quite so badly off in retirement as I feared. I love your videos and sense of humour, and wish I could send an ounce or two of health your way, as I am not going too badly at the moment! Love the videos, this is what YouTube was designed for, not videos of Clickbait / 'Reacts' / dashcam clips / AI slop / Family 'updates' / x+y comparisons / walking around filming people in the town centre / filming other peoples private business / so called audits / Karens / Fails / filming Emergency services dealing with public etc etc, the list goes on and on. I like your videos as they are interesting and educational as well as funny Mat. Please dont give them up. We never gonna let you down. We gonna never gonna run around and desert you. 😊
Made me smile when you said you hadn't any friends. I get the grief from the 'missus' about not having friends, but my thinking is they're a bloody nuisance and get in the way of doing stuff that I want to do... which isn't very much! I'm perfectly amenable to peeps generally, but not interested in being married to them as I'm already spoken for.. Jeez that ages me

HA! I got married from a drive thru in Las Vegas. We didn't even have to get out of the car! The only added expense was a "Just Married" sign we put on the Miata. And we bought our rings from Costco too! After a few weeks my ring slipped out and got lost. I bought another one and the same damn thing happened. I hate anything tight on me. Needless to say we're still married after 30 years. And we ended up buying a house with all the money we save from a traditional marriage.
