Progress Report #50 - No delays
Hey lads!
Just a quick progress report before v0.22. Regarding background stories, traits and achievements, almost everything is finished.
There will be 4 background stories - Villager (default), Aristocrat, Slut, Sportswoman. It still needs some small polishing, it's pretty much done and playable.
Traits are done. There will be 25 positive and 23 negative to choose from, so 48 in total. Most are really simple, but I'll add more sophisticated ones over the course of the development, but it's hard not making them redundant together with backstories and achievements, since every effect could be part of one of the three systems.
The only real thing left to do is scripting achievements. On paper we have over 30 achievements, but some of them feel too redundant or as if they fit more into trait or backstory category. No idea how many achievements there will be, since I still have some time left and everything else is finished.
There will be no new sex scenes in this update. I was fully concentrated on the traits system and on trying to fix the Android version, and I want to bug-test it first, but I added an option to sleep on the park's bench & search in trash bins (yeah, we are getting closer to the full fledged hobo simulator!), so expect new scene in v0.22a.
Also, I updated Unity from version 2018.2 to 2018.4, so some new options became possible to me, while also expect new problems in the future (personally I can't wait). Wasted few days on forcing UotW to work on Unity 2019, but to no vail, so I'm afraid we will be stuck in v2018.4 forever. But if I'm not mistaken, Blizzard's Hearthstone uses even older version of Unity and still works, so no worries :P
Oh, and we also updated art of most interface icons. Always something!

Hey, can you add a strapless bra? I mean, the bra without shoulder straps. (also i want a nude-bra. nude-Bra only has a cup and has no shoulder and back strap at all.) Among the tops on sale at the clothing store, there are tops that expose shoulders. When she wears such clothes, she needs a strapless bra. Or let her wear a top without wearing a bra at all.
Sure, I'll add it in one of the mini updates for v0.22, since it should be rather quick, but I don't want to add too many clothes, since we will have to scrap them soon due to hiring new graphic artist.
Can you publish the names of the Traits please? How does her background affect the actual game? Does the interaction between her and NPC vary depending on her background? If she's a slut, do men treat her as a slut? In other words, if she's a slut, isn't it just treating her as having a high corruption score, but are there some story changes?
Sorry, was busy with working. And since update is out, I bet that you don't need trait names anymore, since you can check them all in-game, right? :P Well, it's her background, so it describes her past, so she has new dialogues, but nobody really knows her in The City, since she just moved here. So no, choosing Slut story won't make all characters to treat her as one. I can't re-write game from scratch for each story, so it just changes some dialogues and adds unique gameplay effects and in the future unique content. For example, right now, playing as Slut won't let you skip some sex events, because Jane will decline your choice and will want to have sex instead etc. Background story system isn't meant to create totally different character, but to change some gameplay aspects.
