Behold Solkerack: the Desert Jewel! New Setting and Subclass!
Thanks for your patience with these releases, heroes! As you'll see from this wave of releases today, time was spent recreating new type styles for use in the upcoming releases of The Griffon's Saddlebag Books Three and Four! I hope you enjoy it, and again, as always, thank you so much for your continued support!
—
Hearken, O wanderer, and mark this ground,
where fell the Devourer, vast and uncrowned.
Its heart sank deep into silent sand,
and warm springs rose at its command.Three Houses came with careful hand,
and set their hearths in the giant’s span.
To the sun they raised twin eyes of glass:
they keep the charge ‘til all the days pass.
Solkerack is a city built within the ever-remaining skeleton of a long-dead tarrasque. At its base, a bountiful oasis sustains the people that live there, and has given rise to a thriving ceramics industry. There are political opportunities set up for a campaign centered here, or simply use it as a desert destination on the road to somewhere else! All roads lead here once you reach the sand.
The subclass included with this setting is the Battlecaller Fighter. These Fighters use their turns to inspire their allies to take action, allowing for team-wide support as part of their Attack action instead of, well, just attacking!
Speaking of subclasses, here's a reminder that we also have official PAID subclass playtest sessions on the Discord! So please feel welcome to sign up for them and get early looks and hands-on time with them! As always, further revisions will be made here with published updates as they're released!
What's Included:
16 pages of desert city details, political intrigue and bureaucracy, economical opportunities, and cultural notes.
Bonus maps donated by Cze & Peku!
4 new statblocks, including a shark that swims in sand.
New Fighter subclass: the Battlecaller! Call out to your allies to inspire them to action, to run, or survive! Your command and battle presence can pave the way to victory!
