Unreal Engine 5 Planet Ocean — Depth-Tinted Single Layer Water | PlanetGen V1.9
PlanetGen V1.9 gives the procedural planet oceans depth. The water colours itself by depth — vivid turquoise in the shallows fading to deep navy offshore, with a shoreline foam line and clear shallows that reveal the seabed. It stays opaque (Single Layer Water) so it always sorts behind the volumetric clouds when you view the planet from orbit.

🌊 WHAT'S NEW IN V1.9
────────────────────────────────────────
✔ Depth-tinted ocean — turquoise shallows fading to deep navy offshore, tunable shallow and deep colours plus depth range
✔ Shoreline foam line and clear shallows that reveal the seabed
✔ Opaque Single Layer Water — always sorts behind the volumetric clouds from orbit, no water drawing over the sky
✔ Depth baked per water vertex from the terrain — seam-free, no runtime cost
✔ Volumetric cloud fix for UE 5.4 and 5.5 (the V1.8 reconstruction fix is now correctly gated to 5.6+)
