[SOLVED] Our Discord server had been hacked

As of 1am AEST Monday there was a hostile takeover of our Discord server which has resulted in many bans and role changes.
Please ignore any DMs that have come from BE Grove (@begrove) in the last few days asking you to download a project and test it for us.
Massive thanks to those who let us know about the issue and did what they could to warn others, we very much appreciate your efforts.

So the server is just completely locked down now did you post that new server?
We have not. We'll do it here on Patreon and email everyone when we make changes.
The hackers are back as of 1600GMT :( They deleted a bunch of channels and I got sent to the shadow realm.

Any tips on getting Discord to actually respond? It's been three days and I got nothing.
Its such a stressful wait. Any evidence to indicate you are the original account holder is useful, especially if you have nitro and if you can indicate that there is anything malicious happening from the account that's hurting discords brand that could be useful too.
Grove reached out to me with a Mediafire scam. No VC in your server so pressed "her" for validity and questions on this as I saw a few posts calling this out get erased. Thought to check Patreon. Thank you! Left the server as of now, too. Seen enough friends and servers all to this fake game sharing method that it's very easy to spot now. Hope you get things resolved without too much damage!
I've left the server for now as well, and changed my Discord PW just to be safe. Hopefully this gets resolved, and thank you for getting the word out as quickly as you could!
Unfortunately too late for me as they have my discord account now and I gotta fight to get it back now.
Would it be a good idea to leave the server until this is sorted? I'm not sure how I'd get back in if I did. EDIT: I've left after reading other people's encounters. I'll be back for sure.
Yeah I got a DM asking to check out a game or something on Itch.io and with my mood in the tank I declined but they pushed anyway so I didn't say a word. Some time later they prodded me again to check out the link they DM'ed and I told them I was unimpressed. They replied "Ok, sorry" and deleted the link.
Yes they are very pushy.
Which means why I had a random text notification of a login pin from my patreon. And this happened at the exact same time as the hacker attack. Thankfully I have lots of security things in place and I've changed passwords and done what's needs to be done. But that's crazy

I posted a @everyone message hopefully it is taken seriously Edit : I got kicked from the server a few hours after I started posting so hopefully people got the message.
I posted a screen shot of the patreon announcement and got kicked shortly there after. The hacker likely deleted my messages as well.
Did the initially compromised moderator have MFA on?
Unfortunately, it wasn't a moderator that got compromised. The hacker gave himself all of the moderator tools and server ownership.
So should we leave for now to be safe?
Just don't click on anything especially not if it comes from BE Grove.
I'm working behind the scenes on the discord end despite being banned to keep people in contact will each other. We will rebuild this community or get banned trying!

So glad you are aware of this now! Got DM by you but was immediately phishy so I tried to report it to a moderator and got removed from the server.
That seems to be what is happening to everyone who says anything/reports it.
