Behind the Boobs - Meet Angie!

Hi all! We're well underway with this month's main reward - an animated standalone adventure by the name of "Drink Me"! Now it's your chance to meet our protagonist - Angie.

You might notice from her design that I'm going a little more cartoonish than our other characters, that was an intentional aspect I was going for this month. I actually spent a bit of time trying to get it even more cartoonish (anime style) to no avail (turns out when you have 100s of assets that are designed for a proper 3d renderer, swapping to one that looks 2d causes all sorts of bugs).

A bit of behind the scenes info - with these characters I normally spend 1-2 days designing them to give them a distinct look, and once I ditched the full cartoon aspect I got to her main features (hair style, eyes, shape) relatively quickly, but did my usual meandering on her outfit choice.

Unfortunately for our kind of niche you can't just pick what looks good, you need something that is both reflective of the character and does not break under load (read: big as tits). A lot of hair models break at larger sizes due to being linked to the breast they rest on, and to get cloth simulation that both sparks joy and does not spaghettify when given the chance is difficult (you can find an example of this attached).

So in addition to the main design you'll find a series of different outfit choices that we tried and rejected either on technical or character basis.

And with that, it's time to get back to animating!
