10/20/30 Method (Variety of Filters)
Hey Guys,
Filter trading is one of the more fundamental styles of trading and it's been a resource for years! The idea is that you're using a certain criteria of filters to find open bids on cards that are going well under their buy now.
The most famous for this method is the 10/20/30 filter, but there are many variants.
The 10/20/30 filter is set in-game as follows
Min bid: 10,000
Max bid: 20,000
Min buy now: 30,000
What does this mean? It means that we will find cards on open bid that are between 10 and 20K, but should sell at 30K+
Now, you won't win every card with these margins, but it allows you to get a big list of open bids together, so you can bid on a lot of different cards at once. The chances are high that you'll win a few cards at 1, 2 or even the occasional 5K profit per card.
Your next question may be, "How high should I bid?" Great question. This method is best performed when you have multiple resources available at once. For me, I like to use Companion App (mobile) and have my CPU available to check prices.
Alternatively, you could be on console and have your phone available. After you use filers consistently, you'll likely start to see consistent cards. patterns and prices. The more you can memorize the better trader you will become.
Other variants of filter trading include
1/3/5 (great on low budget during supply)
25/40/60 (was perfect for TOTS cards)
If you can customize your filters and find good cards for bidding you'll get profit on open bids. You just need to be persistent!
