Fifa 22 Link Trading
Hey Guys,
This is one of the most basic trading tips I have for Fifa 22 and one that you are likely performing yourself without even realizing it!
Link trading/investing refers to buying links to newly released player in hopes people will buy them for chemistry purposes! Makes sense right?
There were a few amazing examples of this all year in Fifa 21, but one perfect example is with the milestone objectives! Link trading works best with good value SBC's and objective players!
Milestones were a new feature in Fifa 21 and added some great 'free' options for people to add to their side. When the Eredivisie Milestones launched, Gravenberch was a popular feature in many squads!
The Eredivisie did not have a large pool of META players when Gravenberch released on December 4th, so users all rushed to buy similar items to fit him in their squad.
Dumfries Rulebreakers went from 19K to 32K+
Dumfries inform went from 12K to 40K!
As you can see, there was a huge boom in price due to the narrow selection of META links to get Gravenberch in your squad!
Now, WHEN DO WE BUY THEM?
This is the key to link trading and it has evolved over the last few years! Unfortunately, one big component to look for is leaks! You can generally see if people have leaked information by checking card prices. If card prices are up heavily before 6 pm, it may already be too late to invest.
To be honest, this is very rare with objectives, so you are generally good buying in the first few minutes after content release. The earlier you buy the better in these situations as cards have generally exploded in price after 10-15 minutes. Ideally, you buy within 1-2 minutes.
If I shout cards in these situations, it will often just be player names. If I have to check prices on both consoles, we may be too late!
Secondly, you often have a buy window leading into Thursday rewards. In Fifa 22, this will work similarly, but on the weekend. As people are broke and awaiting their coins people will get a huge boost on the weekend after finishing their Weekend League games. From here, they will complete any remaining SBC's they desire!
Similar to buying, if you read above it should also answer WHEN TO SELL!
Here is a very recent example with Thorgan Hazard Path to Glory. 150 to 200K+
EA released Meunier and Witsel as free objectives and you can see the impact it had on his Thorgan's price!
