Episode 7 | Covid Pains & High Seas Rescue
Ola Winded Voyagers. Covid is affecting us all, even here in Cape Verde so far away from most of the world. But it's not as bad here as many other places that I see on the news. We can still go out in the streets. Restaurants and bars are open. As are markets, stores and beaches.
That being said, sailing around the Cape Verde islands has gotten even more tricky. Due to Covid, we must get a test before leaving and entering other islands. We must get official authorizations to anchor at locations other than the main harbors of Mindelo or Praia. And then I have a problem. My propeller does not have enough thrust to power Galopin to our last anchorage. Thanks goodness Peter is close by to tow me the few miles to anchor safely. It's all part of the Covid pains & high seas rescue.
Big distant Cape Verdean hugs and much love for your continued support.

Buddy boating seems to be more fun and certainly helpful when it all goes pear shaped
