Episode 6 | Living With The Fishermen
Ola Winded Voyagers! We're off to the big city. Reputed to be risky for cruisers. But when you do some research and make local friends, the risk facto greatly diminishes and the rewards are increase.
Covid test passed and documents on hand, we sail out of on a brisk 20kts downwind to the island of Santiago. Heading to the capital of Cape Verde, Praia. We dock at the fishing pier and are now living with the fishermen. It's not a marina or fancy yacht club. We visit the city's streets, markets and shops. Praia is a cool city! Then we continue our journey to the oldest colonial establishment in Sub-Sahara Africa.
Many thanks to all of you loyal followers and the few new members coming aboard. Big distant Cape Verdean hugs and much love from West Africa.

Very interesting. I can understand how that can be soothing. I'm going to check that out now. Thanks!
Thanks. But what does ASMR mean?
It has been a YouTube sensation for a few years defined as autonomous sensory meridian response, sometimes auto sensory meridian response. Search "Sailing ASMR" on YouTube and you will find ASMR videos posted by a few of the other sailing channels. I must admit I find the few Sailing ASMR's posted on YT very soothing when I just want to zone out.
awesome downwind sailing video footage, that with your lea shore sail could make for a good one hour or longer ASMR, if you kept the camera rolling.
