School of Lust v0.3.3c issues
Hi everyone!
We received reports that some of you are getting a black screen, an infinite loading screen or an error message saying "Unable to load <file>", when running the new release. We're still trying to figure out what's causing this issue, considering only a few of you seem to be having these problems.
For those of you who are affected, you could help us figure out what's going on by following these steps:
1. Try moving the game folder to a different location (especially outside your Documents folder), where permission will not be limited (e.g. your Desktop or your main drive), and try running the game again.
2. Unzip the game (zip) file with a different zip tool e.g. 7-Zip: https://www.7-zip.org/ and try running the game again.
3. Go to your C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\KADOKAWA\ folder (replacing YOURUSERNAME with your Windows user), and rename the RPGMV folder to something else, and try running the game again. This is only applicable, if the folder exists.
4. Try right clicking the SOL.exe file, and select "Run as administrator".
5. Download the game again to your Desktop folder (in case the download was corrupted). Unzip the file, and do not transfer your old save files yet, but try running the game right away.
6. If none of the above helps, please reply to this post and include the following:
The name of your virus scanner/security software
Version of Windows (e.g. XP,Vista,7,10)

Getting the infinite load screen issue again, can't get recommended solutions to work
If you're getting the infinite load screen, run as administrator and it will show any errors that you might be getting
So I'm unsure if this is working as intended or not but in scenarios like needing to be level 2 with a girl before you can activate the next interaction event. If you are only level 1 when you start to talk to them and then give them a gift that would boost their level up to 2. The next event will not trigger even though you are currently level 2 because when you started talking you were only level 1.
how i've noticed it working is, if you level up with someone, it takes until the next day for that relationship level to count towards the events seems unintended to me though
I'm getting an error while loading up the game "Error Failed to load: js/plugins/Live2D.js"

First off, thanks for the release. The game is progressing very nicely. I was using a save file from an earlier version until I accidentally deleted it while clearing old files. I restarted my game but I was never able to complete the quest for Natalie "Peeping Tom". The quest menu asks me to wait until she is out of the room but I can't seem to trigger what is needed to continue. I have been able to interact with Natalie when it comes to other tasks like Hypnotism.

rpg_core.js is the file that is being called as a Trojan virus.
So I have found a fix for myself thanks to guidance in responses, as just exclusion to the folder and files as a whole didnt work. You dont need to move around the files/use 7zip/ run as admin. It is a windows defender problem blocking .js files. In your windows defender if you grant exclusion to all .js files you can open it as normal (winrar in this case)

turning off windows defender, redownloading it and using 7-zip worked for me
Hiya im still having the black screen issue Windows 10 Pro 10.0.17134 (Im not running it but here are the antivirus stats) Malwarebytes v 3.4.4

ive reinstalled the update 3 times and it keeps telling me that the nw_elf.dll hasn't been found and ive tried everything you suggested. Any ideas?
Hi CH! Can you please check and see that the nw_elf.dll file is in the root game folder? If not, it sounds like something went wrong with either the download (corrupted) or when you unzipped the file. Let us know. Cheers!
yeah its the windows defender that its blocking the game from working the defender considers the game a trojan2d I believe my computer popup threat and just restore it trojan2d.
I turned off my Windows Defender and download 7-zip and reinstalled it to my desktop. Works fine now X
if it helps Norton anti virus says its preventing 4 consecutive attacks from the file all ranging from medium to high risk
I have been trying to open it and it says there is a virus or rather the reason it is being blocked by windows defender is because of the "rpg_core" I'm no tech genius but it was all that I was able to find to perhaps add to the discussion.
I get the infinite loading screen (no error message).
I have windows 10 and windows security/firewall. Ive tried all the tricks but no dice.
Error Failed to load: js/plugins/Live2D.js; Norton; Windows 10 Pro (upgraded from Windows 7 Pro); It worked when I first downloaded it, but after I restarted the game it crashed showing this error. Went through all the debug steps, attempted 4 different locations on 2 separate drives and redownloaded twice. Used WinZip and 7zip. If you need anything else feel free to ask :)

I have a bug to report! if used the cheat and now every morning if i try to leave the house it says i should talk to flora but if i try to talk to her the boy says he should be talking now?

I have the main folder in my desktop and I works fine. No issues at all. Hope this helps
The only issue I have with it is how painfully slow it becomes during animated scenes. I don't know why, but of someone could please help me that would be much appreciated. It's hard to enjoy a game when it moves at 1-2 frames a second
