Add a day they say. Fuck it. Put up the countdown just so i can check every once in a while rather than every day for no update. Atleast the countdown gave me a timeframe to not waste my time checking every day haha. But seriously. Go back to the last update file. Then add parts of the game and compile each time and see where the fault is. Also id suggest moving towards an update package rather than a fresh install file every time an update is released. Might take a bit to get set up but once u have it in place the shit will probably work smoother

No update, no communication, nothing. The game has been playable from the beginning, it got more and more buggy as they added things we hadn't asked for. Some of the add ons were cool, some were mediocre, some were dumb. So they took a cool unfinished game, broke it, and have apparently abandoned it.

For the people who just want to see Alice get fucked. If you bring her to a fight there is a chance that she will get fucked by the enemy males. You can also lower her dignity by using cheats. In the main menu, press the version text in the top right 5 times and enter SPONGEBOB in all caps, this will activate dev mode. now you can lower Alice's dignity and treat her almost like a regular girl. This ruins the immersion though so beware. You can also get her pregnant by fucking her in the dressing room.

If you're using one of the Flash CS programs, I've had problems where they can't compile a game too. If you can switch to compile in FlashDevelop, that might help, but obviously, that won't fix a true coding error, and it's AS3 only, I don't know what you've been using.

They have an extremely successful game, that gets them crazy chunks of money per month, and they seem to cut the costs over any comprehensible level, by (that's what it seems) not hiring an extra member to speed up the updates, nor getting someone to answer the complaints or whatever. The problem with patrons is that you do not ask for quality with SimBro. Then they talk about the delay of version 2.5, and why does not anyone care that there was no working version of both 2.4 and 2.2, and in the early versions of the game there are bugs. You bought a defective product and are waiting for a new one, apparently the same defective. No version for which you paid, was not modified properly and contained bugs. If you do not eliminate the old bugs and make new bugs, then sooner or later everything will fall apart. And neither the smart ideas of the game, nor the honest word to do everything in time will not help. It is most likely that endless bugs that have been ignored by both patrons and SimBro have reached a "critical state" and do not allow the game to be released. (If you build a house on a cracked foundation, this house will not last long, and you need not build new floors, but repair the foundation.)

The only problem I see here is they set a definite deadline per release, which few other creators do, they randomly release a new version when it's ready, or very buggy. Simbro should either scale back the content of each release or remove the countdowns. I'll keep my pledge of $1 for another month or so depending on their responses this month, if any.

I still find it somewhat entertaining, that even with this much money, the game is still put off and delayed so much. They could easily create the same game with the same quality they have been, with a budget of less than 100 dollars, so I dont know why it is so hard for them to have a reliable system.

Oh boy finally after waiting months I'm gonna play the promised update..... yeaaaaaaaaaaa should have guessed but please everyone don't take this to heart. It is obvious with the new content coming and how sorry they are, they are trying their best. Granted they should fix the game before making new content and deliver on monthly updates but they will soon be back on track. However i do strongly believe that for the past 3 months with not delivering what we pay for, we should receive back our money however much each of us patrons are paying per month. Actually 4 including the new charge they are giving us entering this month.

I'm still a one dollar patron, but at this point it is because I want to see how it all ends, and that is still worth a dollar a month. If the value slips below the value of a slurpee at 7-11, I will bail, but it isn't there yet. And who knows, the developers might pull their act together and deliver. All they really need to do is ditch the countdown and post a one paragraph update every 3-4 days and they will have a viable money maker. The longer they wait between updates, the more it looks like this is just a scam. Twice a week, tell us what is going on, or watch the money counter continue to plummet.

First, don't set yourself external deadlines. If you are running a countdown clock, do it internally, not for the fans to see. Second, always have more product ready to go. Build in a buffer. If you are going to do monthly releases, wait until you have three releases ready, then start releasing. If you hit a snag, you can still do a release because you are three ahead. Third, don't ask for understanding then go silent. The community was skeptical but ready to forgive when we thought there was a temporary problem. When it is month after month, we start to feel like it was all a scam. Most importantly, listen yto your fans. If your fans say "wrap up the stuff you started, then add content, we will stick with you", believe them. Do it. this file probably wont compile because it has ten unfinished program subsets, for a bunch of content that might be nice if it worked right. They could have rode this gravy train for years instead of months if they had delivered a working product and then kept doing add ons.

I remember a couple years ago when this community was good, friendly, popping out ideas and SimBro would talk to us. Now it's a bunch of cucks making this game the way it is. Retracting your pledges is the ONLY way to make this game better. It's like you have this child and you teach them how to fight, but then they use those skills to beat up other kids, so instead of not teaching the child how to fight anymore, these tools keep teaching till the kid gets himself shot and killed. Thats what people who are still paying SimBro are doing. They are encouraging this behavior. They are saying it's ok to not be professional. To not keep promises. To steal peoples money every month. Every one still paying SimBro is making the cancer worst and those people are essentially the cancer also right now. Stop being a cancer and encourage this game to be good again.

So I understand that many people are unhappy with the developers regarding communication and product. Don't think in any way that I am trying to defend the developer's actions but many of the people who are still pledging have some type of hope for something amazing. In all honesty be logical about the situation, if you are unhappy with the product, remove your pledge, reduce your pledge and get on with your life. I've seen a few suggested above from different patreons who have made some alternative suggestions that will hopefully get you through the night because deep down inside the pervert in us love to see something new. Even the Patreon website has a section of Q&A's that will say, If you are not happy with the product, do not pledge. I feel like people aren't looking at this in the most realistic way. When a game is new and is just starting to be developed, the concepts and coding are relatively easy. The larger the game grows, the harder it is to manage. There's a reason large games take a lot of time to load. Depending on how they use the file redirecting, the file compilation, and how they decide on how to connect all the things together, could change the game completely. Did anyone else notice that the game has no loading on the majority of it? This is the result of having it all in one file. If a small game is constantly improved, the file gets larger. it could go to the point where the game does nothing but lag and crash. I'm suspecting that the developers didn't expect to have so many supporters and fans when they started. The concept of them adding new things over and over is to try to cover up the problems that they are having with the coding being one single file. They would imagine that people would complain if there was loading implemented into the game. They're at the point where they have to decide whether they add loading, or stop production here. Also, keep in mind, that if they are going to add points where it connects different files, there will be loading added as well. The larger the file, the longer it will take to load. On the other end, the more files there are, the more the loading screens will appear. As a side note, to those who think that the implements of a background is a simple task, remember that you have to add a spot for the character to appear, an emote for the character to do, interactive buttons/commands so that the player isn't stuck, a button or buttons to direct the game to that background, the creation of the background, the possible soundtrack that would be partnered with the background, and a plethora of other things, such as events, values, limiters, increase, decrease, alterations, and the list keeps going. I'm planning to learn how to code games and even hope to work for a video game company, but to know the simple things that a coder alone would have to deal with is a little more than common sense. Let's add design into the mix. We can first talk about animation. The animations need to run smoothly and not cause lag to the extent that it could even show. This is key for the people who have older computers to be able to play the game. The animations also shouldn't create any abnormalities such as clipping or glitching. Then you have to add the loop for the scene so that it doesn't cut off. Then add more tweaking to the animation so that loops smoothly. At this point, they're not even bothering with transitional animations. There's also the fact that these files of these simple animations have to be downloaded into the coding files. A simple animation, such as a waving hand on a pivotal arm, the rest of the body stagnant, including the forearm, could take up to an hour to load on a large enough file. Now, take into consideration the animations that they have right now. All of them are more complex than that. Now let's talk about the design team. The character arts that they are using are indeed taken from other places, however the art has been placed on the internet for people who are making games like these to use in the first place. The character designs were an extremely early addition to the game. The developers have since improved upon the art. We have the liberty of changing the hair color, the clothing, the facial expressions, the eye color, the name, and more. The re are even clothing designs that are original designs of the art team. The art team then has to send this over to the motion team, who then have to apply it to as many situations as they can, to prevent clipping, lagging, distortion, etc. Then if any problems are found, the design has to be redone and sent back. The art of the backgrounds are very similar. the design has to occasionally be reworked for more animations in the foreground, clipping into the background, and more. I don't think that any of the developers are professional developers who you would find working at a major video game company. After all, those people wouldn't have the time to make a side project. They wouldn't even need the Patreon in the first place. Anyways, there are a lot of things that most people don't realize go on in developing a single game, so I hope that people could be a little more relaxed about this.

Just a advice to all those who pay for this game , These Dev doing everything which a money hungry thief would do . i have seen many such creator which keep delaying updates for as long as possible to get money . These people work on freeware engine , they dont spent more then 50$ on this game a month , since only thing they add on there update is background, rest is same old code from the game .... now think guys does it take 4 months to add 4 background picture? . i am no expert on these flash game but i developed a perfect self update for a old game which got abandon long time ago , it didnt took me more then 5 day to do so , since code where same , now sim bro team use same flash code for doing character action again and again , so only thing they add is background art like Gym etc. and if i am correct about this it should not take more then 3 days to do so ... so i hope u guys understands what these creator doing here . so stop supporting them and ask some other creator to develop this game for u , since patreon is a site where people pay money for the development of the game , u guys are the sponsor here .

Love how people who only give $1 make a major fuss. The count down timer is annoying especially if they prolong it. Gives false hope to seeing the release when it gets delayed. After they finally release the next update they need to focus on stability and release either A. a solid build or B. start working on using a different engine and transferring the content for that and get it in a stable build.

i love the material you guys put out and I know its a lot of work. I do honestly think you guys do genuinely put a lot hard into this project. I think that it would serve you better to be honest, I don't revoke my membership because I would love to see this grow to its full potential. i also believe a lot of these comments aren't read because you are busy. Just why am I not surprised...

first I want to point out that I am only a game artist not a developer or programmer, so i can't say anything about the actual work to program and code a game, but I am aware of the the development cycles and turnarounds, i have worked with indie projects and I've seem many individuals produce more content in a week than the simbro in a week, I've been to game jams where groups of 2-4 have pumped out complete and fun experiences in a 24 hour period with no project budget. So I am at a loss as to why and how the simbro team team can release such small content updates over a long period of time. Donating to a dev's project is different from a purchase your not buying anything your investing in an idea an while you are not forced to donate you do expect a certain level of quality and effort on the dev's part to realize that idea, and as the dev's ask for money, they are obligated to fulfill on the promises they make when they make them. at first a sow something with potential but now I just see something that's that's not being taken seriously, and its sad to see.

This update is going to have the new 2b stuff with hitomi, the new area of the map that you can defend, the gym plus new animations there, and the new scenes for the reception? Also you guys said you were going to add the ending to the pregnancies like 4 months ago so is this update going to add all of that? I highly doubt it....

This would not be such a big issue if the last version you released was not broken to all hell.

This is why we keep saying to fix the game before adding more content. If you keep adding shit without any real structure then the whole game will collapse which is what happening. You keep delaying the game to add more shit and then delay to fix it and it keep happening because you add more while fixing the original problem.

LOLOLOLOL, I am so glad I stopped pledging several months ago. I just came back to visit and see how things are and I am legit laughing at the shitstorm happening right now.

They might have found the legendary jaded super bug, and they don't know how to fix it! Then again...I wouldn't either.

So lets see, all the things they've said they're working on. Working Map extension with two new locations: Downtown and gym, Team securing locations, New Hitomi event with Nier, and Reception Room Options / Animations for both NPC and PC. This is either going to be the biggest and best yet update. (Doubt X) Or its probably gonna just be another 2.4c Let down. Or better yet, it'll another apology and "delay" while they take another months pledges.
