While it sucks that this project is likely dead, I must applaud the SimBro team for starting a project that so many people loved. I mean they love it so much they are willing to continue paying out money every month while getting nothing in return. You know what I don't understand about Simbro? If they actually put in effort, they would make so much more money. My thoughts about this project is that is all about money laundering. Why?? Well simply 7k a month is a big sum of money in some countries, thus if you gather at least 300 to 400 bank accounts from different people and start creating steady micro transactions every month, like charging 10 to 100 dollars, not only in patreon but also elsewhere, you can laundry your self a big sum of money in a few months, this is my explanation about why, even due this creators stopped delivering every month, people keep donating without hesitation or considerable drop in the quantity... is all about money laundering.. so if you are reading this and you are a "real" patreon stop funding this shady "project".

In some places it became worse than in the previous version. New locations are apparently needed to go there and do not go out anymore. Since I can't trust SimBro to do anything honest anymore, I tried this on a free site. There is no "update". Everything is the same as it was from their last update with the exception that they broke the gym now too. You can enter, but you can't leave. Them hiding the "update" in a patron only post is just a way for them to try to dupe people into spending money. If this were a legit update with even minimal content added, I'd be honest and tell you all. Unfortunately, SimBro are still being dishonest, sneaky, frauds .

For those, who do not support this page and cannot see the comments in 2.5a update section. This is what I have experienced so far while playing this update. Basically, nothing has changed. Map got bigger, however you cannot go to the gym, because game freezes there. Downtown is also no good, due to the fact that there are absolutely no events there 24/7. You can now assign a team to secure slums but if you want to take a break and turn this game off, then when you turn it on again your assigned team has dissapeared into oblivion. The team becomes glitched and can never be assigned again. To conclude, this 2.5a update is a big waste of money. Other than new bugs, nothing else seems to work properly.

I'm a little confused about something. Explain to me why there are people here who feel the need to express their frustration by convincing others to stop supporting this s̶c̶a̶m̶ Project. If they want to continue to be s̶c̶a̶m̶m̶e̶d̶ supporters, then let them. Not your money.

It's the end of the month people. SimBro is still silent. Usually by now there's a follow up from them just to string people along a bit longer. If there's any doubt about this projects future or the people cashing in on it's intentions, let me clarify it for you. Actions speak loudly and what SimBro has shown us in the past several months is a willingness to troll their supporters and lie through false promises. They have been taking money from dedicated supporters without so much as a thank you, or making good on any of their commitments. I have taken a very harsh stance against people who have been still pledging to SimBro. I do NOT apologize for that. But now it's more apparent than ever this project has ended. Trust has been severed and their integrity as a developer to not only meet commitments, but to be upfront and honest with their supporters has been obliterated. Instead of being harsh towards the people who still support SimBro, I actually feel pity. To have so little in life that you cling to a creator of a cartoon porn game that has obviously abandoned their project. Who has not posted any new information about their intentions moving forward or not, showing that they are milking every last dollar out of these supporters. I pity these supporters. The 1 more month people. The "it's only a dollar" people. The people who convince themselves someone is sick with SimBro. I pity these people. They have so little in life that they need to desperately cling to this. I pity them.

Despite long having pulled my pledge, a part of me still hopes that there may be something at the end of this month. Hoping that maybe their lack of communication means that perhaps they've finally learned not to promise what they know they can't deliver. That being said, even if by some miracle I happen to be right and they do put something out at the end of the month, I'm still not renewing my pledge.

I visit this page just to watch the donor $ drop. I pulled out a while back, too many months of unmet deadlines, or updates that fall short of their promised content. Once you realize that most of the donations above $1.00/month are from the devs themselves, it's hard to not see this as a total Ponzi Scheme.

So it is below 9k now, and it has been 2 weeks since we heard anything. I'm guessing that money is going to keep vanishing. The game has a lot of potential, but I'm not giving money for empty promises, excuses, and a complete failure to communicate. Look at the number of patrons. People have obviously been yanking their support, because if those numbers were accurate the game would be bringing in almost 20k per month. That's what Simbro has thrown away by refusing to put any effort into communicating truthfully with their patrons.

Why are people still throwing money down this black hole? It's fucking mind-boggling that these hack frauds still have tons of backers.

I can see why some are very upset with the pace of SimBros releases but I can tell you that they do release game updates. I have 200+ modded Skyrim with CEO setup and sexlab with hundreds of animations for everything. It not only looks the best in the business with a great ENB +HD texture overall but it runs better than all the other 3D adult games out there save a few new ones that are currently under-developed.

I seam to recall suggesting the use of a new game engine which could hold a larger game, instead of the old free Flash which is good for smaller games but gets complicated the bigger it gets.. a more modern game engine would also have a better creative design, making it simpler to work with.. but what do I know.. other than they sure must be able to afford better technology in terms of both hardware and software to create this game.. that is if they haven't wasted it all on "living expenses"?

You really should make cleaning up your code a priority. I don't know how many people worked on it, and I also don't know what it looks like, but I can confirm this: Sometimes it's really better to rewrite the code from scratch, avoiding known mistakes that will cause trouble. I wouldn't mind waiting a month or two for this, because I'm quite sure it would help and improve the quality of the game. If you are not sure about this, you could make a poll. Just a suggestion.
