Just to illustrate how this ideology has permitted normie life I have an anecdote. I work at a Mexican restraunt in AZ. You could guess that the kitchen staff is very diverse, I stand out as a gringo. After my coworker and best buddy made a joke about being bullied as a minority. my manager, also a gringo, said "you know my son will be a minority when he grows up. he has blond hair and blue eyes." She was looking for solidarity with her racist ideology. I responded "we"re in Arizona, this was literally Mexico once, and before that it was Navajo land. not to mention that on a global scale I'm pretty sure white people are the minority sooooo." She thought she could share her racism with me just cuz im a white punk who looks like a skin head. she didnt expect that I'm perfectly happy and feel privileged to have grown up with Latin Americans and Natives in my life to share their language and culture. as a brazilian I’ve to say that the anti-immigration rethoric is basically non-existent here and was not a relevant part of bolsonaro’s anti-democratic iniatives. I feel like this is mostly something that comes from the Global North, and in South America is seen mainly in Argentina and Chile against Bolivians and Peruvians, but that’s also a historical trend that precedes modern replacement theory

About five minutes in, the hosts were talking about perceived demographics and actual demographics of the racist French guy’s beachside town. It reminded me of some racist US history; around 1880 at the height of Yellow Peril politicking there were anti-Asian civic groups, parties, newspapers, pamphlets throughout the country while the population of East Asian people in the US was about 0.25%.

l've said it before and l'll say it again, the closest l ever got to having white* babies involved socialized medicine. * l'm not entirely sure that France would consider any progeny of mine white. Even in the US l'm not sure they would still be considered white by the time they reached adulthood.
