GB Patch

Alright, we get to vote on a new emote to add to the private discord server today! Because it's October, let's go with something Halloween-y. The choices are classic costume options and you can leave a comment to suggest which character should be dressed up for the season. This comment period closes

Alright, this is a special one. November is a major month for the Our Life series, it's when OL1 released nearly six years ago, it's Cove's birthday, and soon it will be the month of OL2's early access launch. It's an Our Life birthday party all around 🥳️. Usually only one character is featured in

It's time to vote for a new Discord emote! This month will be a full free-for-all because that's fun sometimes and makes it easier for me while recovering, haha. So there's no premise, you can leave comments suggesting any character/any type of emote and the most popular option will win based on lik

Well, the guest start poll for October is coming out late because I forgot to schedule it earlier in the month. I'm sorry for that, but there's still time to do a poll for this! It's hard to believe but this will be the last guest art piece before the month when the early access is going to come out

It's time to vote for a new Discord emote! This month is a little different though because it's part 2 of a joint emote vote. We'll be adding a pair of emotes that hold half a heart, so putting the two together makes a full heart. Last month it was decided that people really want Qiu and Tamarack fo

It's hard to believe it, but the next guest piece is going to be fall themed 😳. It's almost the OLNF time of year in the northern hemisphere. Before the early access release of that game in November, I think it'd be good to remember where we started. The next bonus art piece will be of Cove in cold

On the 10th of the month we vote for a new emote to add into the GB Patch Patreon discord server! I'll explain the emote concept and then people leave comments on what character you think should be used for it or you can like a comment if someone already said what you were thinking. For July I've go

We've got one guest art left to celebrate Step 3 side characters in summer! This poll has the main grown ups as options, excluding Opal because she's already gotten a guest piece this year. Feel free to leave comments on what you think the parent, grandparent, or "uncle" should be doing. The poll wi

Hey! It's the 10th, so it's time to vote on a new emote for the Patreon Discord server. This month we'll be voting on character with a visible "loading" icon over their head. They are processing the info and need a minute. Leave a comment to suggest who that should be! This comment period closes aft

Time to vote for next month's guest piece. We're giving side characters attention right now and it's Serenity's turn. Her Step 3 design will be used for this. So, the poll will be deciding what they're up to! Serenity is gonna be enjoying the summer season. The poll will close on June 9th. Normally

Hello! I forgot to post earlier in the month about the emote poll. Sorry. But it's here now. This is where supporters can leave comments or like comments to decide on an emote that gets added to the Patreon Discord server. For May, the emote premise is giving a thumbs up and smiling while clearly no

The guest art pieces will continue the Step 3 theme. This time you can vote on one of your peers getting featured, not including the leads or Ren. Ren has gotten multiple guest pieces already so somebody else is gonna have a turn, haha. So, Serenity, Vianca, or even Pran could have a bonus art piece

This month I can have the emote vote go up on the 10th like I want it to! Hooray. The way a new Discord server emote is decided on is through comments and likes on comments. You can let us know the character you'd want to see or like another person's post if they said what you wanted to say already.

Next month's guest art is gonna be of Step 3 Tamarack. There will be a spring season setting/theme! You can leave a comment to let me know which hair length and accessories for her to use. The poll will close on April 8th. Happy voting!

The emote poll is late again. The 10th loves to be on a Tuesday when I don't post, haha. But it's here now. The way these are decided are through comments and likes on comments. You can let us know the character you'd want to see or like another person's post if they said what you wanted to say alre

Alright, this month I'm aiming to get Step 2's script either finished or very nearly finished! So, it makes sense for the guest piece next month to be a Step 3 version of one of the leads. You can vote on which one it is and leave a comment about what hairstyle/accessories they've got. The poll will

It's voting day! Usually the post for a new Discord emote happens on the 10th, but I don't post on Tuesdays. The way these are decided are through comments and likes on comments. You can let us know the character you'd want to see or like another person's post if they said what you wanted to say alr

Today, we'll be voting on a concept for the March guest art. And, believe it or not, I'm aiming to finish the Step 2 script in March! February I'll be completing the 10th Moment, ideally it'll happen with days left in Feb, and the Fall Ended section shouldn't take several weeks to complete. So, this

First emote poll for the new year! The way these are decided are through comments and likes on comments. You can let us know the character you'd want to see or like another person's post if they said what you wanted to say already. This month's theme is "scrolling on their phone, hitting that like b

Hey! Here's the first poll actually happening in the new year. It'll be for the guest art happening next month. February has Valentine's Day and we usually have the leads celebrating that holiday for the guest piece. But adults can enjoy the holiday, too! So, this month you can vote on which parent/

Hey! Today we're gonna vote on a new emote to add. I'm thinking it will be a lightheartedly rude tongue sticking out face. Last month we had people leave comments and likes to determine which character yo go with. I think that works better for these emote polls because there's a lot of potential cha

A 2026 guest piece? That's just wrong. But we have no choice, we must accept the passage of time. So, we'll be voting on a guest piece that won't be shown until next year. The theme will be a happy GB Patch new year! You can choose between some classic OL1 trios and duos to be celebrating together.

Hi! Today we're voting on a new emote. It'll be a crying, hands in the air, "nooooo" kind of emote. And, instead of having a poll, we'll be deciding just by amount of comments/likes on comments for a characters. Polls usually end in Our Life 1 or 2 winning even if other characters seem wanted from o

I can't believe it, we've gotta make plans for the final guest art of this entire year 😭. I don't even know what to do about this. I guess it'd be fun to go back to Step 1. That time period was completed in 2025 and it's been a while since we've posted the cute kids. I think we'll do a classic acti

November is the month we're going to have a big public demo update! So I thought it'd make sense for the guest art of the month to feature Tamarack and Qiu as their Step 2 selves. They'll also be in their usual outfits, so the poll is about which hairstyle to use. You can also leave a comment to sug

Hey everybody! We're getting to vote on another new emote for the GB Patch Patreon discord server. This time, I'm thinking we'll add an emote of a character laying on the ground and crying in a humorous yet pitiful way. It could be tears of defeat or of amazement, depending on how you see it. You ca

Alright! Tamarack had her turn getting a cute school-y kid guest art. Now we'll be voting on a concept for Qiu. Also, feel free to comment on which hairstyle should be used and if any of Qiu's extra accessories are added. The poll will close on September 9th. Happy voting!

Hello! Today's the time to vote on the GB Patch Private Discord server emote options. Usually we add brand new ones but every so often we replace much older emotes with newer versions in the more recent art style. This month we're gonna have an older emote redrawn. It is going to keep the same chara

Fall is coming! And for those still in school, it's nearing back to class time. Because of that I think it'd be fun to have a cute school themed guest piece. This month it will be for Step 2 Tamarack (next month Qiu will have a turn). You can leave a comment to say which hairstyle she should have an

Hey people! I've got a poll for all our patrons today. Basically, there's a Q&A every month on the Patreon, backers are able to ask questions and I record myself answering them and release a text transcript to go along with it. Players are allowed to ask things about sneak peeks that are only on the

Hey! Today we've got a poll to add a new emote into the private GB Discord server. This time, I'm thinking we'll add a cute object rather than a character! We could go with something iconic from the OL series. Things like money and a pretzel and bikes and acorns are already options, so it's staying

We're continuing the poll theme from the past couple months, but with even more of a theme! Next month's guest art will be a scene from Our Life: B&A that didn't get a CG. Very specifically, it will be of the different outings with Cove from the Moment "Happiness" in Step 3. Feel free to leave a com

Last time we had an emote vote, Yusuf won the poll by far! But there's still many OL2 adults that have no emotes. So, that's the theme of this poll as well. Now Opal and Yusuf have been taken off the ballot. This poll closes after the 15th.

In June we got a cute picture of baby Cove based on a real Step 1 scene that didn't have a CG. Let's do it again but for Step 2 Cove! I've listed some charming Moments that don't have a unique image in the actual game. The poll will close on June 9th. Happy voting!

Another post going up a date later than usual this month, but it's time to vote on a new discord emote! Instead of picking between different emotion/action ideas, this poll is to choose a specific character to get an emote. The theme of the poll is OL2 adults! Opal is left out since she has one emot

Okay, this should've gone up yesterday but I forgot, haha. I was just too distracted by the wonderful Mrs. Lin costume. Still, now it's time to vote on the June guest art piece. It's been far too long since we've scene little, baby Cove. This round we're going to vote on making an image of a classic

Alright, today we've got the poll for another new emote in the private GB Patch discord server. I'd like to add a blank-faced look with a loading icon floating in front of them, basically a character is struggling to process something. A lot of characters could work with that, so the poll is broad.

It's voting time! May has mother's day, so it's been a tradition to have the guest piece be of one of the many wonderful moms in the OL series. Opal Second has gotten more than one guest piece about her, Kyra Preece and Yi Lin have been featured in the past too, too. But I don't remember some of the

Two polls in a row, haha. Today we're gonna vote on another new discord emote for the Patreon server. I'm thinking it could be one where someone is smiling sinisterly and reaching towards the screen. I picked out a few characters I thought would be fitting from the OL series, but there's also variou

I got a little thrown off at the start of this month because of the Cove pin merch launch, but here's the guest art poll for April! March opened with a super cute picture of Tamarack as a spring fairy. But Qiu also won, so let's also have a piece with them as some kind of cute, spring spirit or elf

Hey! Today we're voting on another new discord emote. I'm thinking we'll add a "cheers" kind of emoji where a character is holding up a drink of their choice and grinning. This could really be anybody with any kind of beverage, but there are a couple exceptions. Liz and Qiu already have drink themed

Hello! It’s me, GB. I’ve been doing some thinking and have an important poll for all of you. I’ve gone on record to say there was something I didn’t ever plan on, but I’m reconsidering it. I want to know what players think of Our Life: Now & Forever releasing Step by Step instead of waiting for Step

Next month spring begins! We'll celebrate that by having a very spring-y guest art piece. I'm thinking we'll do an Our Life lead as a flower fairy/sprite/elf/whatever. The exact design will depend on the character who wins, but it will be floral and fantastical! None of the leads are spring themed i

Alright, we've got this month's emote poll! I'd like to replace the old-style emoji of Baxter wiping his brow with a handkerchief. We could have it still be Baxter but in the current emote artstyle or it could be someone else. Leave a comment to let me know what age you'd want it to be for Baxter or

Hey, I've got a poll for today! Next month is February so the guest art has gotta be Valentine's Day themed. Last year Qiu got to be the focus, so this time Tamarack gets to celebrate the day of love 💖 She can either be making a gift for her special valentine or she could be getting a present herse

Hello! I feel like it's been a bit since Patreon supporters have gotten to vote between different emote concepts, so this month there are three possibilities. Feel free to leave a comment for the characters you'd want to see get the emote! This poll closes after the 15th. Happy voting!

The guest art for next month is once again a new year celebration image. 2024 is basically over already. We could use this either to celebrate Step 1 being fully written or Step 2 being fully into production or both. The piece will include two characters. It could be Tamarack and Qiu in Steps 1 or 2

Hey! It's time to vote for next month's bonus piece. It'll be December then and I'd like to have something fun and snowy. Here, you can pick out what the seasonal activity will be. You can leave a comment to say which character you think should be doing it. The poll will close on November 8th.

Alright, it's time to vote for another emote! I was thinking it'd be a cutesy proposing emoji with the character bashfully holding up a box with a ring in it. So, there could have been a poll where you voted between all the OL leads, but I felt it'd be a bit of an uninteresting poll. I'm pretty posi

Hi 👋 Today we can start voting on the bonus guest art piece that'll be posted on November 1st. We're planning to have a public demo expansion that month, so I think it makes sense for the image to feature one of the Step 2 characters you'll get to see in the demo. However, let's skip the obvious op
