Funny story...

Hello.

Figured I'd share this today rather than wait til tomorrow (certainly don't want anyone to think that this is just a really mean-spirited April Fools or something). Though I appreciate, in some time zones, it is actually already the early hours of April 1st. But I can assure you... this is a real thing so don't worry!

I am 'back'. Ripcord pulled or something haha! Though there is a slight caveat:

I'm 'back with boundaries' basically. Firstly there's no schedule this time around; some content is better than no content I guess? So videos will be out when they're ready and they'll be as long as I could be bloody arsed to make them. Gonna have to put my foot down on that one because I'm old, jaded and tired now. No longer 'People-Pleaser Buttress'; I am now 'Crashed Out Miserable Old Fart Buttress'. Plus I need to prioritise the editing work that I do for other channels as that's a more secure and bigger revenue stream for me so that's always going to come first, moving forward. I do have bills to pay after all.

But yeah - I have been thinking about / seriously considering the pros and cons of a return for the past month or so. I needed to know, firstly, how it felt to make these vids. Did I still enjoy it? Had I deskilled in the past 9 or 10 months? Do I have time to do this on top of other commitments? I did miss it but these things are important to take into account obviously.

Feels a bit self-indulgent to talk about but I have also continued to receive comments asking me to come back the entire time I've been gone. Not like 'EVERY SINGLE DAY' but quite often. More often than I would have expected anyway. It's touching and I'd be lying if I said that didn't play a part in the decision too. I'd quite like to be a person who returned and brought a bit of joy back into people's lives during shit times. Makes me sound like some kind of hero or something! lol.

Anyway... hope you enjoy this new video. Also hope you find it as funny as I did that the video is hilariously cinematic for absolutely no reason other than shits and giggles. To be fair; we've got Taliesin & Evitel to thank for my newfound ability to actually colour grade videos - editing for them has led to me purchasing an Adobe Premiere Pro subscription and so I've learned a new trick or two.

Apologies to anyone that actually enjoyed the writing posts by the way. But I'll probably just continue working on that story behind the scenes / in private from now on. I'm sure 100% of you are probably just happy I'm doing this again to be fair! This is, after all, why you all followed me in the first place.

But thank you very much. For all the support and stuff. Cheers mates! Now I just need to see if I can remember how to make thumbnails. I'll put the video up on YouTube in a few days (not April 1st though lol).
